Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed form for filling up the post of Research Assistant in temporary basis in ICSSR sponsored project. The name of the project is "Women and making of the public sphere in Contemporary Assam: An oral history digital archive". The project is under Dr. Hemjyoti Medhi, Associate Professor, Department of English & Foreign Languages, Tezpur University.
Name of Position: Research Assistant
Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess M.A. in Humanities and Social Science or any other postgraduate degree relevant to the theme of the project from a recognized university securing at least 55% marks in aggregate. Applicants having experience in research are also welcome to apply.
Desirable Qualification: Reading and writing knowledge of Assamese language. Experience having in translation and transcript works is desirable. Having additional knowledge of the Bodo language is preferable.
Remuneration: Rs. 15,000/- per month.
Duration of engagement: 2-years or till project completion or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Age Limit as on 27.07.2018: Not more than 28-years. Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category as per Government of India rules.

Selection will be made through a translation test followed by a personal interview which will be conducted in the first week of August 2018.
