CEE Assam 2026 Registration - Combined Entrance Examination

Govt of Assam released notification to conduct Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026. The online application/ registration process will start from 16th March, 2026 onwards at ASTU website (astu.ac.in). The Assam CEE Exam will be held on 7th June, 2026 (Sunday).

The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) is the entrance examination organised by Govt. of Assam for admission into various B.Tech. programme in the engineering colleges of Assam. The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2026 will be conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).

Assam CEE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

 

Resident-ship: The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the Qualifying Examination individually in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40 % in case of ST) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The same sitting means a candidate must appear all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English together.

Age Limit: The candidate must not be below 17 years on the date of registration to appear CEE. There is no maximum age limit.

Character: The Candidate must possess a good moral character.

Fitness: The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.

Full Mark: 480 Marks (4 marks for each correct answer).

Assam CEE 2026 Syllabus

 

The CEE 2026 will be conducted as per the latest syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

Paper shall be of three (3) hours duration and shall contain 120 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. Four (4) marks will be awarded for every right answer and one (1) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. There shall be no marks, in case, the candidate selects more than one option in the answer sheet. CEE-2026 will be based on Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) Syllabus .

The examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type and comprise of a Single Paper of 3 (three) hours duration with following distribution:

Assam CEE Application Fee 2026

Candidates need to pay an Application Fee of amount 1350/- (Rupees One thousand three hundred and fifty)

 

Payment Mode: This application fee can de made through online mode by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Fee once paid, is not refundable. 

 

Payment status will be successful after 1 or 2 days. If payment status still persists pending after 2 days please contact Helpline No. available in the website, immediately.

Assam CEE 2026 Admit Card Release

 

The ASTU authority will release the Assam CEE admit card 2026 on the official website. The Candidate will be able to download his/her admit card from the University website www.astu.ac.in from 26th May to 4th June 2026 by entering his/her application form number/User name and Password generated during submission of online application.

Candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria of Assam CEE Entrance Exam 2026 are required to fill up online application form through the official website of ASTU (astu.ac.in).

Eligibility Criteria of NEET UG 2026

Nationality: Citizens belonging to the following nationalities are eligible to apply for NEET (UG)

  • Indian Nationals

  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

  • Persons with Indian Origin (PIO)

  • Foreign Nationals

Age Limit: Candidates have to completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course. 

Accordingly, the lower age limit shall be born on or before 31.12.2008. There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET-UG.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed (or appear) Class 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with subjects- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually from a recognised board or university with minimum marks as prescribed below:

  • General/ EWS: 50 %

  • PWD: 45 %

  • SC/ST/OBC: 40 %

10+2 Appearing Students: Candidates who are appearing at the 10+2 Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject and expect to pass the Examination with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the 10+2 Examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks.

NEET (UG) 2026 Exam Pattern

The Test pattern of NEET (UG) - 2026 comprises four Subjects. Each subject will consist of two sections. Section A will consist of 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 Questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. So, the total number of questions and utilization of time will remain the same.

Selection Process of PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026

 

The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written Examination which will be conducted in the various selected centres in the state. The Commissioner, P&RD will intimate the name of centre in the Admission Certificate of the Written Examination. 

Written Exam: There will be two written examination - Paper -1 for the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator/Computer Assistant/ Gram Rojgar Sahayak and Paper -2 for the post of Accredited Engineer. A candidate may apply separately for the written examinations for Paper-1 and Paper-2, provided that he or she should fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Candidates are required to submit their preference for the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, or Gram Rojgar Sahayak for selection under the Paper-1 Examination.

Exam Centre: As per permanent address the examination center will be provided.

Negative Marking: The written test will be of 75 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 75 questions and each question will be of 1(one) mark. There is negative marking, of 0.25 mark per question carrying 1 mark each and of 0.5 mark per question carrying 2 marks each, for wrong answer as well as for selecting more than one option of a question.

 

Negative Marking: The written test will be of 75 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 75 questions and each question will be of 1(one) mark. There is negative marking, of 0.25 mark per question carrying 1 mark each and of 0.5 mark per question carrying 2 marks each, for wrong answer as well as for selecting more than one option of a question.

Syllabus: The questions will be set in five parts: 

    (i) Domain Knowledge 
    (ii) Computer proficiency 
    (iii) Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension 
    (iv) History and Culture of Assam and India and 
    (v) General Knowledge. 

In addition for the post of Accredited Engineer, there will be questions relating to technical knowledge as per the qualification. Candidates will use black ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. Duration of the test will be of 2(two) hours.

Viva: There will be Viva of 25 Marks for candidates who are qualified in the written  examination.

Age Limit as on 1st January is as mentioned below:

➢ Constable (UB & AB): The age of the Applicant must be between 18-26 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 2001 and not later than 1 January 2008). 

➢ Driver Constable, Constable (Dispatch Rider/Messenger/Handymen) in APRO, Driver and Driver Operator in F&ES, and Driver Constable in Forest Department: The age of the Applicant must be 18-25 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 2001 and not later than 1 January 2008).
➢ Driver in Forest Department: The age of the Applicant must be 18-40 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 1986 and not later than 1 January 2008).
➢ Sub Inspector (UB) and Sub Inspector of Police (Communication): The age of the Applicant must be 20-26 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 2000 and not later than 1 January 2006).

➢ Station Officer and Squad Commander: Age must be 20-24 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 2002 and not later than 1 January 2006).
➢ Assistant Jailor: The age of the Applicant must be 21-40 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 1986 and not later than 1 January 2005).
➢ Sub Inspector (AB) in Commando Battalions: The age of the Applicant must be 20-24 years as on 1 January 2026 (born not before 1 January 2002 and not later than 1 January 2006).

Minimum Class VI passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.

 

❖ Jail Warder: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.

❖ Forester Grade-I: Bachelor Degree in any discipline from recognized University or equivalent.

Medical Standards

❖ General Health: Applicant must be in good mental and bodily health. They must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, knock-knee, flat foot or any other physical deformity that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. Applicants should not be colour blind or be squint eyed.

❖ Eye Sight: The distance vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

❖ Varicose Vein: Varicose vein shall be considered as temporary disqualification.

 

    All candidates for the 2025–2026 season must register a fresh and generate a new application ID. Application IDs from previous seasons will not be valid for the 2025–2026 season.
