Selection Process/ Syllabus of Gauhati High Court Computer Assistant 2025


Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective type multiple choices) for 120 marks of 2 hours duration on OMR sheets testing the Technical Knowledge (50 marks), English Proficiency (20 marks), General Knowledge (20 marks), General Aptitude and Reasoning (10 marks) as well as knowledge of Assamese language (20 marks).  

The Assamese language segment may be of qualifying nature and candidates securing atleast 40% marks i.e. 8 out of 20 marks in the Assamese language segment shall be treated as qualified to appear in the Stage 2. Marks obtained in Assamese language segment will not be considered while preparing the final merit list. 

Stage 2: Skill Test of 30 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates for 1 post) in order of merit in the Written Examination will be called to appear in the Skill Test. 

A candidate shall have to secure at least 60% marks i.e. 18 out of 30 marks in order to be considered qualified in the Skill Test. 

Stage 3: A candidate shall have to secure at least 60% marks i.e. 18 out of 30 marks in order to be considered qualified in the Skill Test. Viva voce/lnterview of 20 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) in order of merit in the Written Examination and Skill Test combined will be called to appear in the Interview. A candidate shall have to secure at least 60% marks in the interview i.e. 12 out of 20 marks in the interview in order to be considered qualified. 

Final Selection: Final selection will be made on the basis of the grand total marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination, Skill Test and Interview/Viva-Voce. Where more than one candidate, obtain same grand total marks, the candidate who obtains more marks in the Written Examination and Skill Test combined will get preference. Where the marks obtained by such candidates in the Written Examination and Skill Test combined are also same, the candidate who obtains more marks in the Skill Test will get preference. Where the marks obtained by such candidates in the Skill Test are also same, then the candidate who is senior in age will get preference.

Mandatory Medical Standards:

General Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu are as follows:-

• Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms

• Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

• Corneal Surgery (PRK/ LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.

• Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

• Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

• General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Eligibility Criteria of NIACL Assistant Recruitment


Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 21 to 30 years as on 1st December 2024 .

The Regional Language Test will be of qualifying nature only. No Scores will be allotted for the same.
