Eligibility Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission


Eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Ed Programme of Dibrugarh University shall be as follows:

Educational Qualification: Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities; OR Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology of Dibrugarh University, or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

** A candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours / Major subject but less than 50 % in aggregate in all the courses / papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme, as the requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate.

Entrance Test: Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by Dibrugarh University for that academic session.

Relaxation: In the eligibility criteria, a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks (or equivalent Grade Point) shall be provided to the candidates:

(a) belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD categories
or
(b) having a minimum of 5 (five) years teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
(c) A candidate can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories.


Selection Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission 2024


Selection for admission into the B.Ed. Programme in any institution under Dibrugarh University will be based on the following:

(a) A Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted centrally, which will carry a maximum of 70 marks. Details of the Common Entrance Test (CET) is as given below:

• Exam Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (11 AM to 12.30 PM)
 
• Question Type: OMR based

• Date of Entrance Test: 13th July 2024 (Saturday)

• Date for Declaration of the Result: By 25th July 2024

(b) The career performance will carry a maximum of 30 marks, on the basis of the percentage secured in the HSLC, HS, the First Degree and/or Master’s Degree Examination.

(c) 10% of the percentage of marks secured in H.S.L.C., H.S., Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree Examination shall be considered as career performance in each examination. For example: If a student gets 53% in the first Degree Examination (Major / Aggregate), his/her career performance marks in that examination will be 5.3.

A Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Dibrugarh University to provisionally select candidates for admission into the B.Ed. Programme offered by the affiliated colleges and the Department of Education of Dibrugarh University.

- The Entrance Test shall carry a total of 70 marks consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on the following areas:

• Corneal Surgery (PRK/ LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.

• Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

• Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

• General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. Eligibility Criteria for Anundoram Borooah Award


Qualification & Percentage: Students who secured minimum Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC Examination conducted by SEBA, Assam are eligible to submit application for this scheme.

All qualifying students who are qualified to avail the award may register online through the online portal available on https://bidyarthi.co.in and www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in. Please read the instructions given below carefully before apply online for Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme (ARBAS) 2024:

1. Star or Distinctions holders in the HSLC/AHM Examination, 2024 are eligible to login and apply through this portal. However, if you are unable to login in spite of being eligible, kindly contact the given helpline numbers, or you can also visit SEBA office with your details.

2. Make sure that you type the Roll and Number correctly as per your Admit Card. Also, enter your Date of Birth (DoB) using the calendar tool. The DoB should exactly match with your Admit Card.

3. Candidates should have a Bank Account in his/ her name (As per your Admit Card). Bank account in any other name or identity will not be accepted.

4. Kindly keep a scanned image of the front page of your Bank Passbook with you. The scanned image should have your name account number, IFSC, and photograph clearly visible.

5. The technical specifications for DOCUMENTS UPLOAD:

* Size of document must be less than 200 kb.
* Width (Horizontal) of document must be GREATER THAN 400px.
* Height (Vertical) of document must be GREATER THAN 600px.
* Document must be in .jpg or .jpeg Format.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the admission notification of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Selection Test, 2025 - 2026 for admission into Class VI. To get admission at JNV students are required to appear Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test i.e JNVST examination.

        In accordance with the National Policy of Education (1986), Government of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Presently the JNVs are spread in 27 States and 08 Union Territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Eligibility Criteria for JNV Assam Admission


Educational Qualification: A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2023-24 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized schools or ‘B’ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 31st July 2024 is not eligible to apply.

Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 1st May 2013 and after 31st July 2015 (Both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC).

Geo location: Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located are eligible to apply for admission. 

No of Attempt/s: No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

Rural Quota: At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open which will be filled on merit from both Urban and Rural Area candidates of the district as per reservation criteria. 
 
A candidate seeking admission under the rural quota must have studied in Classes-III, IV and V completing full academic session from the Government/ Government Aided/Government recognized schools located in rural areas. However, the candidate should study full academic session under rural area in Class-V from the same district where admission is sought.


Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 Details


The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

The last date to submit online application is 16th September 2024.


Admit Cards of Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test


The admit cards will be made available as per date decided by NVS in due course which will be displayed on application portal. The admit cards shall be downloaded free of cost by the candidates/ parents before the conduct of JNVST 2025.


Assam JNV Admission 2024 Result


The result of JNV Selection Test 2025 is expected to be announced by March, 2025 for Summer bound JNVs & in May, 2025 for Winter bound JNVs. Candidates can get the result from the admission portal. The result will also be displayed in the offices of the concerned:

i) Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
ii) District Education Officer
iii) District Magistrate
iv) Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region.
v) The website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti www.navodaya.gov.in.

The Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya concerned, will also inform the provisionally selected candidates through SMS on the registered mobile number followed by a speed post. The entire admission process for the session 2025-26 will be closed latest by 31st December, 2025.

The process for submission of application for JNV Selection Test has been simplified through online process. Registration can be done free of cost through the admission portal of NVS linked through www.navodaya.gov.in. Interested candidates have to follow below mentioned steps to apply online for Assam Navodaya Admission

 → Click on Online Application Portal.
 → Fill the Mandatory Information.
 → An online application form will be opened, fill all details accordingly.
 → In upload document section, upload your respective documents.
 → Click on Save & Preview.
 → Now, you will get a preview of your application and next, click on the submit your application button.
 → On successful submission of application, you will get a Registration No. and acknowledgment receipt of your submitted application. Keep the same for your future references.


Required Documents During JNVST Online Application


Keep the following scanned copies ready before start filling the application in JPG Format Only.

1. Candidate's signature. (Size of signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
2. Parent's signature. (Size of signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
3. Candidate's photograph. (Size of image should be between 10-100 kb.)
4. Certificate signed by parent & candidate and verified by Headmaster. (Size of image should be between 50-300 kb.)
5. Residence Certificate of the parent Issued by competent Government Authority if candidate does not possess Aadhaar Number.
