The Notification of Assam Polytechnic Admission 2026 has been released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. Students may apply online for admission into 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam for the session 2026-2027. The online registration for Polytechnic Admission will start on 24th April 2026.

As per the official notification, there will be no Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) from the session 2024-25 onwards. Admission into the various polytechnic courses under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, will be based on the marks obtained in the HSLC Exam with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Eligibility Criteria of Assam Polytechnic Admission 


Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Candidates also must have passed individually in both Theory and Practical examinations in Mathematics and Science.

Category wise required minimum percentage of marks  in Mathematics and Science are as follows:

Age Limit: Candidates' age must be minimum 16 years as on 31st December 2026. There is no upper age limit. Candidates must be born on or before 31st December 2010.
 
Physical Fitness: A candidate must be physically and mentally fit. Candidates will have to produce fitness Certificate at the time of admission from a registered medical practitioner (optional). 


Application Fee for Assam Polytechnic Admission 2026


Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.300/- along with bank charges to complete the online application process. 

Payment Mode:

Online: Candidates can pay their application fee using State Bank Collect which provides the facility of payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI.

Offline: Payment may also be made in cash at any branch State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit form from State Bank Collect in final step of Online Application.

Documents Required for Assam Polytechnic Admission


➢ Permanent residents certificate [P.R.C.]

➢ Caste certificate for all candidates except Un-reserved Category.

➢ Non-creamy layer certificate - for OBC/MOBC and also six communities under OBC/MOBC.

➢ Grandsons/grand-daughters of freedom fighter: Certificate issued by from the Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister or from Home and Political Department and relationship certificate from concerned Deputy Commissioner.

➢ Son/daughter of retired defense person: certificate from the Director, Rajyik Sainik Board, Assam.

 Son/daughter of central government employees: P.R.C.- from the concerned state authority outside Assam and service certificate of father/mother from the concerned authority located in Assam.

➢ Physically Handicapped ( PH)/ Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Identity Card for differently abled issued by the Social Welfare Department, Assam.

➢ Economically Weaker Sections [EWSs]: Valid E.W.S. Certificate.

➢ Tuition Fee Waiver [TFW]: Annual Income Certificate issued by the authority not below the rank of Revenue Circle Officer.

 Sports quota: Certificate from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam.

Selection Process of SSC Selection Post Phase XIV Recruitment


➢ There will be three separate Computer Based Examinations consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions, for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation & above levels.

➢ Candidates scoring less than cut-off marks as given below will not be considered for the next stage of recruitment:

➢ The candidates who are shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny will be required to submit self attested copies of all the supporting documents in respect of Educational Qualification (EQ), Experience, Category, Age, Age-relaxation, etc. (as applicable) in hard copy along with the print out of their online application form, to the respective Regional Office(s) to which the Post-Category belongs.

➢ There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Regional Language Proficiency: A candidate should be able to speak Assamese or other official language or associate official languages of the State or any of the tribal languages of the State.

Residentship: A candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.

Employment Exchange Registration: A candidate should be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.

Small Family Norms: Candidates have to submit a declaration regarding "The Small Family Norms" in Form-A at the time of applying for the C.C. (Prelim) Examination.
 
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age on 01.01.2025. 

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable-

(i) By 5 years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
(iii) For persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates.
 
Educational Qualification:
 
• The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government.

Eligibility Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission


Eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Ed Programme of Dibrugarh University shall be as follows:

Educational Qualification: Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities; OR Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology of Dibrugarh University, or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

** A candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours / Major subject but less than 50 % in aggregate in all the courses / papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme, as the requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate.

Entrance Test: Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by Dibrugarh University for that academic session.

Relaxation: In the eligibility criteria, a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks (or equivalent Grade Point) shall be provided to the candidates:

(a) belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD categories
or
(b) having a minimum of 5 (five) years teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
(c) A candidate can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories.


Selection Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission 2026


Selection for admission into the B.Ed. Programme in any institution under Dibrugarh University will be based on the following:

(a) A Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted centrally, which will carry a maximum of 70 marks. Details of the Common Entrance Test (CET) is as given below:

• Exam Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (11 AM to 12.30 PM)
 
• Question Type: OMR based

• Date of Entrance Test: 4th July 2026 (Saturday)

• Date for Declaration of the Result: By 15th July 2026

(b) The career performance will carry a maximum of 30 marks, on the basis of the percentage secured in the HSLC, HS, the First Degree and/or Master’s Degree Examination.

(c) 10% of the percentage of marks secured in H.S.L.C., H.S., Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree Examination shall be considered as career performance in each examination. For example: If a student gets 53% in the first Degree Examination (Major / Aggregate), his/her career performance marks in that examination will be 5.3.

A Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Dibrugarh University to provisionally select candidates for admission into the B.Ed. Programme offered by the affiliated colleges and the Department of Education of Dibrugarh University.

- The Entrance Test shall carry a total of 70 marks consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on the following areas:

Name of Post: Land Records Assistant (LRA)

Scale of Pay: P.B.-2 (Rs. 14000 - Rs. 70000 + GP Rs. 6200). 


Eligibility Criteria of Assam Land Records and Survey Recruitment

 
Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination from any Central or State recognized Board. 
 
RCCC Training: Candidates must have passed Recorder Certificate Class Course Training  from Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40 as per Advertisement for RCCC Training Examination issued by the Office of the Director of Land Records, Assam (except Sixth Schedule districts/other State). 
 
Computer Knowledge: Candidates must have proficiency in use of Computers and Information Technology having minimum 30 words per minute computer typing speed in Assamese/Bengali. 
 
Age: Candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01.01.2025. Age relaxation for reserved category shall be  applicable as per Government policy. 
 
 

Selection Process of Assam Land Records and Survey LRA Vacancy

 
1. Candidates whose applications are accepted as per criteria will be shortlisted and shall be notified in due course of time. The qualified candidates will be required to appear in the competitive written examination in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern. 

2. The candidates shortlisted on the basis of written examination shall have to appear for Skill Test (Computer Proficiency test). Candidates need to bring original documents for verification on the day of skill test to be notified later on. 

 Syllabus for competitive examination 
 
The examination structure broadly comprises of two components, carrying a total  of 100 marks, as detailed below: 

a) Written Examination (Paper-I): 80 Marks (Objective Type—MCQs) 
 
The subject-wise distribution of marks for Written Examination (80Marks) is as follows: 
 
(i) Mathematics (Class X Standard) — 10 Marks 
(ii) Conventional Survey — 50 Marks 
(iii) Modem Survey — 20 Marks 

The Written Examination will carry a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer. Further, only those candidates who clear the minimum qualification marks (category-wise) in the Written Examination will be called for the Skill Test. 

b) Skill Test (Computer Proficiency): 20 Marks 
 
The Skill Test (Paper—II) (20 Marks) shall be of practical nature and shall assess Assamese or Bengali Unicode typing, Basic computer operations, Document preparation and formatting, Data entry, file handling, and printing. 
 
Required Documents: Candidates must produce the following testimonials at the time of Skill Test/ Documents verification: 

a) Hardcopy of Online Application Form. 
b) Class-X/ Class-Xll Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Mark sheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where age/DoB is clearly mentioned. 
c) Certificates & Mark sheet of all examinations from HSLC or equivalent examination onwards. 
d) Copy of RCCC passed certificate. 
e) Caste Certificates seeking reservation as SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC/ OBC (T) from the competent Authority. 
f) Physically Handicapped certificate issued by competent authority, if any. 
g) Declaration Form-A (Application of Small Family norms). 
g) Mobile No./WhatsApp No./Email address(mandatory). 
i) Documentary support for any other claim(s) made.

c) Submit Online Application and upload recent passport size colour photograph, signature, RCCC passed certificate of recommended size (as mentioned in Instructions). No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II has started the Online Admission/ Registration Process/ Form Fill up for HS First Year Admission 2026. An online web portal called “Darpan” has beeen launched for HS 1st Year Admission. The online Admission process started on 12th April 2026. Students who have passed HSLC exam this year may apply online for HS first-year courses under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for the academic session 2026-2027.

The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2026 Merit List will be available on the DARPAN official website. The merit list will be published by the concerned institutions. Students will have to select the school or college of their choice by visiting Darpan portal . 


Apply Process for Assam HS First Year Admission 2026


Students who passed HSLC 2026 exam and want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II must apply online.

➢ Click on HS First-Year Admission link.
➢ A portal will load, Login using your HSLC Roll No. and Date of Birth (as per Admit Card).
➢ After that, you need to choose the college, course type and other details you want.
➢ Upload scan copy of photograph, signature and other necessary documents.
➢ After filling and verifying all the details, you have to click on submit button.
➢ After submitting the application, keep the system generated acknowledgment for future use.

Students must keep the following listed documents ready in JPG, JPEG or PNG file format before proceeding for the online application. Also, the size of the file should be maximum 1 MB.
