National Eligibility Test

Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), National Testing Agency, Govt. of India published notification for conducting UGC-NET for the year 2018. The National Eligibility Test (NET) will be held on December 2018 by National Testing Agency (NTA). For that online applications are invited for UGC-NET to determine eligibility "for Assistant Professor" and "for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both" in Indian universities and colleges.
Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Pattern of Examination: The CBT consists of two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II). The questions of both the papers are of objective type. There will be 50 questions of 100 marks for Paper-I and 100 questions of 200 marks for Paper-II. The duration of Paper-I will be 1 hour and Paper-II will be 2 hours.
Eligibility: Minimum 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent. at least 50% marks for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates. See the list of subjects at Post Graduation level in the advertisement.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Should not exceed 30 years as on 01.12.2018. Upper age is relaxable up to 5-years for candidates belonging to OBC(NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women applicants.
Assistant Professor: No upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor.
Processing Fee:
- For General Category: Rs. 800/-
- For OBC (NCL) category: Rs. 400/-
- For SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender: Rs. 200/-
Fee Payment Mode: Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ E-Challan.

- Date for Final Transaction of Fee: 01.09.2018 to 01.10.2018
- Date of Examination: Between 09.12.2018 to 23.12.2018
