All India Radio, Guwahati seeks applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Part-Time Correspondents (PTCs) from the following 10 districts of Assam:
(1) Biswanath
(2) Charaideo
(3) Hojai
(4) South Salmara-Mancachar
(5) West Karbi Anglong
(6) Majuli
(7) Golaghat
(8) Tinsukia
(9) Karimganj and
(10) Barpeta
Name of the Post: Part Time Correspondents (PTCs)
Qualification:
- PG Diploma/ Degree in Journalism/ Mass Media or Graduate with minimum two years journalistic experience. (Journalistic experience to be desirable for candidates in difficult and border areas like North-Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman, Diu, and Kutch.)
- (iii) Should reside at the district headquarters or within a radius of 10 kms from the district HQs/ Municipal limit in the district for which he/ she is being engaged.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of computers & word processing.
- Possession of news gathering devices.
- Experience of coverage for electronic media.
Age limit: 24 to 45 years. (age as on the last day of advertisement)
NOTE: Candidates having the following Essential and Desirable qualifications may apply for the selection for engagement as PTC for a particular district where he/ she resides. (application proforma attached herewith).
How To Apply: The duly filled up application along with self-attested copies of documents in support of the candidature, one recent passport size photograph may reach the office of the In-charge, Regional News Unit, All India Radio, Chandmari, Guwahati-781003 on or before 20.01.2019. The shortlisted candidates may need to appear in a written test/interview or both on a prescribed date.
