ITI Assam Admission 2026 Notification

Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam has released ITI admission notification 2026 for admission into Government and private ITIs of Assam for the session 2026-27. Candidates interested in ITI courses may apply online at www.itiassam.nic.in .

Eligibility Criteria for ITI Assam Admission:

The eligibility criteria of ITI courses and other details for courses under different ITIs of Assam are as given below.

1. Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English), Fashion Design & Technology, Desk Top Publishing (DTP) Operator, Multi Media Animation and Special Effects, Digital Photographer, Mechanic Auto Body Painting, Secretarial Practice (English), Cosmetology, Food Production (General),Front Office Assistant, Floriculture & Landscaping, Fire Technology & Industrial Safety Management (minimum physical requirements are i. Height - 165 cm ii. Weight - 52 kg iii. Chest - Normal 81 cm - Expanded 85 cm iv. A registered MBBS doctor must certify that the candidate is medically fit to undertake the course), Food & Beverages Service Assistant

 

Duration: 01 year

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class  or its equivalent

2. Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

Duration: 01 year

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

3. BLTT (Bodo Language Transcription Trade)

Duration: 6 months

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

4. Mechanic Diesel, Pump Operator cum Mechanic, Plastic Processing Operator, Mechanic Tractor, Soil Testing and Crop Technician, Mechanic Auto Body Repair, Solar Technician (Electrical), Mechanic Two and Three Wheeler

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science & Mathematics or its equivalent.

5. COE sector (BBBT modules): Plastic processing sector, Fabrication(Fitting & Welding) sector, Construction & Wood Working sector, Information Technology sector

Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Draughtsman Civil, Draughtsman Mechanical, Fitter,  Machinist, Turner, Surveyor, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration & Air Conditioner Technician,, Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance, Maintenance Mechanic Chemical Plant

Duration: 02 years

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science & Mathematics or its equivalent

9. Wireman

Duration: 02 years

Educational Qualification: Passed 8th class examination

10. Welder, Plumber, Dress Making, Sewing Technology, Surface Ornamentation Techniques (Embroidery)

Duration: 01 year

Educational Qualification: Passed 8th class examination

 

11. IoT Technician (Smart City), IoT Technician (Smart Health Care)

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or its equivalent 

12. Industrial Robotics & Digital Manufacturing Technician, Artificial Intelligence Programming Assistant, Artisan Using Advanced Tool

Duration: 01 year
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

13. CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, Mechanic Electric Vehicle, Manufacturing Process Control and Automation Technician, Basic Designer and Virtual Verifier (Mechanical)

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination

14. Semiconductor Technician 

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 12th class examination with science (physics & Mathematics) or equivalent.

15. Additive Manufacturing Technician (3D Printing) 

Duration: 02 years
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or with vocational subject in same sector or its equivalent.

16. Drone Technician

Duration: 6 Months 
Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics or with vocational subject in same sector or its equivalent. 

Age Limit:

The age of the candidates for admission must not be below 14 years as on 1st July 2026 .

ITI Assam Admission Fee 2026

FOR NCVT & SCVT trades:

Tuition Fees (Rs.50/- per month): Rs.600/- (for 1 year) | Rs.1200/- (for two years)
• Caution Money (Refundable): Rs.250/-
• Registration Fees: Rs.125/-
• Medical Examination, Fees: Rs. 25/-
• Trainees Union Fees: For 1 year Rs.175/- & For 2 years Rs.350/-
• Hostel Service Charge: Rs.50/- (where applicable)
• Hostel Caution Money (Refundable): Rs.250/- (where applicable)

➢  For BPL Candidates, the payment of Tuition fees is waived off, except SCVT under IMC courses.

For SCVT under IMC courses (on payment of higher course fee):

• For Non Engineering courses: Rs.15,000/- per year

• For Engineering course:  Rs.16,500/- (for one year) & Rs.33,000/- (for two years)

Tea Garden Labour /Ex-Tea Garden Labour: 2 seats will be reserved in each ITI Trade.

Assam ITI Admission Process 2026

(a) After registration, all the candidates will have to report at their nearest Govt. ITI along with their all original documents, certificates etc. within the scheduled date & time, for verification of their registration particulars.

(b) Candidates should note that after successful verification, they may fill their choices of trades and ITIs according to their preference, to enable them to participate in the allotment process.

(c) Allotted candidates should take admission in their allotted seats otherwise their candidature will be treated as cancelled.

(d) The passed out candidates from NCVT trades will be issued NCVT certificates & from SCVT trades will be issued SCVT certificates.

Counseling for ITI Admission

After registration, all the candidates will have to report at their nearest Govt. ITI along with their all original documents, certificates etc. within the scheduled date & time, for verification of their registration particulars. Next, the candidate has to fill his choices & save his choice within the stipulated time period as declared by the DE&CT Assam in counselling schedule.

After the choice filling is over, all filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of seats as per merit (Rank) & category of the candidate. The allotment will be made against one seat & the allotment of seat is purely provisional. 

The counselling process will be online only .

Online Application Process for Assam ITI Admission 2026

 

Candidates interested to take admission in ITI of Assam should register their name online by visiting official ITI Admission Portal as below below given steps:

➢ Go to the Important Links section below.

➢ Click on the "Online Registration" and complete the registration process by clicking "Register Now". 

➢ After that enter into the Online Registration Link and login with your Login Id & Password.

➢ Fill personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.

➢ Finally, take a print out of the application form .

• Starting date of online registration: 26th May 2026
• Last date of online registration: 11th June 2026 till 5 PM
• Document verification at Govt. ITIs: 26th May 2026 to 12th June 2026
