2. Member of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission

Age Limit:
a. For Member of the Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non Judicial) the candidates should not be less than 40 years of age as on 01/01/02025.
b. For Member of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission the candidates should not be less than 35 years of age as on 01/01/02025.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their graduation in regular mode from a UGC recognized institution. Any applicant who has completed bachelors degree through distant mode of learning will not be considered eligible to apply for the posts.
b. For Member of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission the candidates should not be less than 35 years of age as on 01/01/02025.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected.

Experience:
A person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than 10 years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
(i) A certificate reflecting their experience of minimum 10 years in the specific areas as mentioned in above or any other documents establishing their eligibility for the posts.
(ii) In case of candidates from the field of Law, his/her Bar Council Registration and Certificate from District Court/High Court reflecting 10 years of experience/practice in the field is to be submitted along with the application form.
(iii) In case of candidates who are/were employed under any organization, certificate from the employer reflecting his/her experience in the relevant field is/are to be submitted along with the application form.
(iv) In case candidates who are/have been self employed, any document issued by the organization/organizations he/she is/has been associated with or rendering/rendered his/her service to, supporting his/her experience in their respective fields is/are to be submitted along with the application form.

Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
