AASC Assam Recruitment 2020 - Details:

1. Assistant Librarian

No. of Vacancy: 01 (UR)

Qualification:

1. Diploma in Library Science or above from a recognized University.

2. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in a Library belonging to Government organization and having knowledge of Library management.

Scale of Pay: (PB-2) Rs.14,000 to Rs.60,500/- with GP- Rs.7,400/- per month.

2. Library Assistant

No. of Vacancy: 02 [UR-1, STP-1]

Qualification:

1. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary examinations in any stream from a recognized University Council/ Board and having a Diploma in Library Science or its equivalent from a recognized institute.

2. Preference will be given to candidates possessing additional qualifications especially in Library Science.

3. Must have experience in using computer and computer applications, working with library software and digital library management systems.

Scale of Pay: (PB-2) Rs.14,000 to Rs.60,500/- with GP- Rs.6,200/- per month.

3. Junior Assistant

No. of Vacancy: 01 (OBC/ MOBC)

Qualification:

1. The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government.

2. Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum six (6) months diploma in basic computer skills or equivalent.

Scale of Pay: (PB-2) Rs.14,000 to Rs.60,500/- with GP- Rs.6,200/- per month.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2020):

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2020. The upper age limit is relaxable:

(a) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years.

(b) By 3 years for 0BC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.

(c) For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates.

Selection Process:

The selection process will be through a written test followed by skill test/ Computer test for the selected candidates wherever applicable. Schedule and other details of written test/Computer Proficiency Test/Skil Test shall be uploaded at (www.aasc.assam.gov.in).

How To Apply:

Eligible candidates should apply through the Online portal which will be available from 08/03/2020 to 22/03/2020 at the official website. Scanned copies of the following should be uploaded in the online portal:

1. Scanned copy of recent passport size colour photograph and scanned copy of signature for uploading.
2. HSLC Admit Card or Birth Certificate as proof of age
3. Mark-sheet and pass certificate from HSLC onwards
4. Caste certificate (where applicable) from the competent authority, if applicable.
5. Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
6. Diploma Certificate, wherever applicable
7. The Government servant should upload NOC from concerned department.
