Applications in Standard form are invited from candidates domicile of Assam and who serving the ASTEC under various projects at least 5-years for recruitment of 6 (six) vacant posts of Junior Scientific Officer (JSO) in ASTEC-Assam Science Technology and Environment Council Office.

Post Name: Junior Scientific Officer

Total Post: 6 (Six)

Pay Scale: PB-4, RS.30,000-1,10,000/- Grade Pay Rs. 12,700 per month.

Qualification: Candidates must possess Master's degree in any one subject of (Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Zoology, Geomatics, Geography, Geology, Computer Application, Remote Sensing & GIS) OR Bachelor degree in professional courses like B.E./ B. Tech etc.

Desirable: Candidates should have experience in handling scientific, science communication & popularization projects; organizing meetings/ workshop/ training etc; having proficiency in networking, media relations, and compiling report, etc. desirable.

Necessary documents candidates must be submitted along with application are:

• Caste Certificate
• Valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
• Experience Certificate
• 2 copies self-attested recent photo
• self-attested copies of all educational documents/certificates

Selection Procedure:

• Phase I: Powerpoint presentation in front of the selection committee/Board.
• Phase II: Viva-voce/Interview.
