Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) invites applications for engagement of Act Apprentices for training under Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2018-19 in the various trades for the following units:
Name of the Post: Act Apprentices.

- Katihar Division- 961
- Alipurduar Division- 521
- Rangia Division- 500
- Lumding Division- 1262
- Tinsukia Division- 444
- New Bongaigaon Workshop (NBQS)- 243
- EWS/ NGN- 200
- Dibrugarh Workshop (DBWS)- 198
Name of the Trades: Machinist, Welder, Fitter, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Painter, Electrician, Turner, Refrigerator and AC Mechanic, Lineman, Mason, Fitter Structural, Machinist (Grinder), Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should passed class 10th examination or equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) securing at least 50% marks, in aggregate from recognized Board and also should possess ITI in relevant trades approved by NCVT/ SCVT.
Age Limit: Min-15 years and Max-24 years. The upper age will be relaxable for reserved category candidates and Ex-Servicemen as admissible.
Selection Process: On the basis of merit the selection list will be prepared (trade-wise) in respect of all the candidates who have applied against the notification in respective Units. The merit list in each unit will be prepared on the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (HSLC) with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks.
Stipend: The candidate will be paid Stipend as admissible as per extant instruction.
HOW TO APPLY: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with self-attested copies of documents in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age etc and any other relevant documents. Candidates must also enclose 02 (two) Self-addressed envelope (11x5 inches) with the application form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5/- on each of the envelope.
Application Sending Address & Last Date: The completely filled application along with necessary testimonials should reach to the respective Units at the appropriate address as stated in the notification on or before 31/12/2018.
NOTE: Candidates can apply only in one unit and that too only in one particular trade. If the candidate applies for more than one unit/ trade his/ her application will not be considered and will be rejected.
