Stipend: Currently, the minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders is ₹ 9,600/- per month. Where one or two years’ exemption is admissible under the Apprenticeship curriculum, stipend shall be ₹ 10,560/- (2nd year – 10% increase) and ₹ 11,040/- (3rd year – 15% increase) respectively, reckoning prior institutional training as per extant instructions. The stipend rates are subject to revision from time to time as notified by appropriate authority.

 

Period of Apprenticeship: 1 year [1 year 3 months for Medical Laboratory Technician]  

Eligibility Criteria of NF Railway Apprentice Recruitment

Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on the closing date mentioned in this notification.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in the case of OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disability candidates.

Educational Qualification:  

 

• Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) & Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology): The candidate must be 12th pass (under 10+2 system) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 50% marks in both 10th & 12th.  

 

• Others: The candidate must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (Not applicable for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized board and also possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training OR Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.

At least 50% Marks in the B.P.Ed. Degree/ B.P.Ed (Integrated) Four years Professional Degree in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10th December, 2007.

B. P. Ed. With at least 55% marks or B. P. E Course (or its equivalent) of three years duration with at least 50% marks in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of Application for Recognition, the Time Limit of Submission of Application, Determination of Norms and Standards for Recognition of Teacher Education Programmes and Permission to Start New Course or Training) Regulation, 2002 Notified on 13th November, 2002

 

And

 

M.P.Ed of at least two years duration from any National Council for Teacher Education Recognised Institution.

(II) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

(a) Graduation (in the teaching subject) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

At least 50% marks either in Graduation (in the teaching subject) or in Post- Graduation (in the teaching subject) and B.Ed.

Graduation (in the teaching subject) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation (in the teaching subject) with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

OR

Post-Graduation (in the teaching subject) with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

AND

(b) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

AND

(c) Competence to teach through the medium/media as required.

(III) Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education:

 

A Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCl) only shall be considered.
