Applications are invited from the citizens of India (Male) to fill up 63 vacancies of Constable (GD), (Male) against Sports Quota in Border Security Force, BSF in various disciplines

  6. Football: 03
  7. Gymnastics: 02
  8. Handball: 02

  10. Judo: 02
  11. Kabaddi: 04
  12. Kho-kho: 03
  13. Tae-kwondo: 04
  14. Wushu (Sanshou): 08
  15. Volleyball: 04
  16. Water Sports (Kayaking, Canoeing & Rowing): 02
  17. Weightlifting: 04
  18. Wrestling (Free Style & Greco Roman): 04
TOTAL VACANCIES: 63 Posts


Educational Qualification: Matriculation or 10th class pass.


Pay Scale: Rs.21,700/- (Pay Matrix level-3, cell-1) & other allowances admissible to Central Government Employees from time to time under the rule.


Age Limit: Minimum 18 & Maximum 23 years as on 1st August 2018. Relaxation will be applicable in age for SC/ST/OBC, Ex-servicemen.


Place of Posting: Anywhere within as well as outside the Territory of India.



Sports Qualification for the post Constable/ GD:
  • Representation of Indian teams in Olympics, World Cup, Asian Games, Jr./ Sr. World Championship, World University Games, Common Wealth & SAF Games.
  • Won any medal in Jr./ Sr. national championship/ Nation Games in individual/ team events since Jan 2017 onwards.
  • Participation in Jr./ Sr. National championship/ National Games since Jan 2017 onwards.
  • Won Gold medal in State championship since Jan 2017 onwards.


Physical Standards for the post Constable (GD) as under:
  • Height: 170 Cms.
  • Chest: 80 Cms (Unexpanded) with minimum expansion 5 Cms.
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height as per medical standards.


 How To Apply:  The eligible and desirous candidates should send their application in the prescribed proforma duly typed or neatly hand-written as given in Annexure-A duly filled with two self-attested PP size photographs should addressed to "The Commandant, 95 BN BSF, Bhondsi, Post Office- Bhondsi, District- Gurugram, Haryana- 122102" within 30 days from the advertisement publication date.

However, States of NE Region, J&K, Sikkim, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, A&N Island, Lakshadweep can submit their application up to 45 days from the advertisement publication date. (Publication date in official website 07-01-2019).
