Notification For Certificate Course
National Health Mission (NHM), Assam invites the candidates who are willing and enthusiastic to serve the community by bringing health care services to the doorsteps of the community to apply for the 6-Months Certificate Course in Community Health for Nurse & Ayurveda Practitioners.Also Read:

NHM Assam 6-Months Certificate Course Details:
- This Course is part of an initiative under the National Mission to strengthen Sub-Centres as Health & Wellness Centers (H&WCs). The Program will be implemented by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
- National Health Mission, Assam shall provide support for boarding and lodging allowance; IGNOU fees; transport for practicum and other training related costs. Apart from this, candidates will continue to receive their salary/ remuneration during the training period.
- After successful completion of the Course, the successful candidates will be posted at the identified Sub-Centres in rural areas as Mid Level Service Provider and will receive performance incentives for working as Mid Level Service Providers (MLHPs)
Eligibility Criteria for 6-Months Certificate Course of NHM, Assam:
- B.Sc. (Nursing) Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) from a recognized Institute/ Bachelor of Science in Nursing/ Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)/ GNM Course passed & Registered with Assam Nurses', Midwives', & Health Visitor' Council.
Desirable Criteria:
- Proficiency in regional/ local language and dialect
- Desirable to have work experience in the public health system, preferably at the Primary/ Community Health Center level.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in health sector.
Age Limit: Less than 35 years of age; however, less than 40 years for SCs and SCs.
Remuneration: Upto Rs.40,000/- per month including performance based incentives component.
