Applications are invited in Standard Form from intending eligible Indian citizens for filling up the following vacant Grade-III sanctioned posts under Directorate of Museums, Ambari Guwahati-781001 Assam.

1. Junior Assistant
No. of post: 02 (Un-reserved)

Requisite Qualification: 

• Bachelor degree from a recognized University.
• Minimum 6 months diploma in Computer Application (MS Word, Excel, PPT, Internet, PageMaker etc.)
• Knowledge of DTP in both English and Assamese.

Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-49,000/- + GP-Rs.6,200/- per month.

Place of posting:

• Directorate of Museum Assam Guwahati.
• District Museum, under the Directorate of Museums, Assam Guwahati.

2. Booking Assistant

No. of post: 01 (Un-reserved)

Requisite Qualification: 12th Passed from State/ Central educational Board/ Council and Computer Diploma.

Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-49,000/- + GP-Rs.5,600/- per month.

Place of posting: Directorate of Museum Assam Guwahati.



Age Limit: 18-38 years of age on 1st January 2019. The upper age relaxation for SC/ ST etc. as per govt. rule.


Selection Process:

1. Written Test: The written test will be Objective Type will consist of General knowledge, General English, Mathematics and Assamese.
2. Computer Proficiency Test: The successful candidates of written test will be called for Computer Proficiency Test.
3. Original documents are to be produced at the time of Computer Test.
4. There will be no viva-voce (interview)

The application should be sent along with the following documents:

• Self-attested copies of HSLC Admit Card for age proof, all the educational qualifications, caste certificate and valid Employment Registration Card and PRC (for General Category) etc. are must.
• Self-attested two copies of recent passport size photographs.
• A self-addressed envelope size (22cm x 10cm)affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5 only.

Candidates/ applicants must mention the Employment Registration No. along with date in their application form in the appropriate column.
