Online Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of posts of Scientist ‘C’, ‘D’ and E levels in India Meteorological Department (IMD) Ministry of Earth Sciences (Proper) on direct recruitment basis as per following details.
1. Scientist 'E'
No. of Post: 01
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science or equivalent or any other subject considered relevant in the field with at least 60% marks. Eleven years’ experience in relevant field.
Age Limit: 50 years
2. Scientist 'D'
No. of Post: 06
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science or equivalent or any other subject considered relevant in the field with at least 60% marks. Seven years’ experience in relevant field.
Age Limit: 50 years
3. Scientist 'C'
No. of Post: 12
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science or equivalent or any other subject considered relevant in the field with at least 60% marks. Three years’ experience in relevant field.
Age Limit: 40 years
Place of Posting: Anywhere in India as per requirement.
General Conditions:
i) The candidates can apply for more than one post.
ii) Applications should be submitted online through www.imd.gov.in in the prescribed format within 42 days from the date of publication of Advertisement in Employment News.
iii) Copies of certificates (self-attested) in support of educational qualification (10th Class Onwards), date of birth and experience, if any, should be uploaded with the application.
iv) SC/ST/OBC certificate should be uploaded with the application.
v) Applicants are also required to bring original certificates/documents for verification at the time of interview.
