The National Eligibility Test (NET) will be held on December 2019 by National Testing Agency (NTA). For that online applications are invited for UGC-NET to determine eligibility "for Assistant Professor" and "for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both" in Indian universities and colleges.

Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Pattern of Examination: The CBT consists of two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II). The questions of both the papers are of objective type. There will be 50 questions of 100 marks for Paper-I and 100 questions of 200 marks for Paper-II. The duration of Paper-I will be 1 hour and Paper-II will be 2 hours.
Eligibility: Minimum 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent. at least 50% marks for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates. See the list of subjects at Post Graduation level in the advertisement.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Should not exceed 30 years as on 01.12.2019. Upper age is relaxable up to 5-years for candidates belonging to OBC(NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women applicants.
Assistant Professor: No upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor.
Processing Fee:
- For General/ Unreserved: Rs. 1000/-
- For Other Backward Classes (OBC) – (NCL)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Rs. 500/-
- For SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender: Rs. 250/-
- Fee Payment Mode: Pay fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-Challan (SBI/ HDFC/ Syndicate/ICICI Payment Gateway)
Important Dates:
- Starting Date for Apply Online: 09-09-2019
- Last Date to Apply Online: 09-10-2019
- Last date of payment of fee through Credit/ Debit /Net Banking upto 11:50 pm (through e-challan upto bank hours): 10-10-2019
- Correction in particulars of Application Form on website only: 18 to 25-10-2019
- Date of Downloading of Admit Card from NTA website: 09-10-2019
- Date for Examination: 02 & 06-12-2019
- Date of Announcing Result: 31-12-2019
