Applications are invited for filling up the following positions in Central Silk Board (CSB), Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India.
1. Director
No. of Post: 01
Qualification: A Doctorate degree in Entomology / Zoology / Agriculture / Botany / Sericulture or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University with a minimum of 12 years Research experience out of which 5 years should be in the capacity of Joint Director [now re-designated as Scientist-D] in the Pay Matrix Level-12 (Rs.78800-209200) or equivalent.
Mode of recruitment: Direct Recruitment failing which by Deputation.
Pay Matrix: Level -13 (Rs.123100-215900)
Age: Below 53 years (as on the last date for filing online application for the post)
2. Scientist-C (Specialization: Zoology)
No. of Post: 01 (UR)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Zoology from a recognized University with four year experience in Research and Development and/or Academic Institutes and /or Science & Technology Organizations in the field of Zoology.
Mode of recruitment: Direct Recruitment.
Pay Matrix: Level -11 (Rs.67700-208700)
Age: Not exceeding 40 Years (as on the last date for filing online application for the post) (Relaxable for PWD and Govt. Servants as per Rules)
3. Scientist-B (Specialization: Zoology/ Soil Science & Chemistry/ Agriculture Agronomy/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology)

Qualification: Master's Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences.
Mode of recruitment: Direct Recruitment.
Pay Matrix: Level -10 (Rs.56100-177500)
Age: Not exceeding 35 Years (as on the last date for filing online application for the post) (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/OBC/PWD as per Rules)
