About Assam Women's University:
Assam Women’s University established in 2014, is the only Women University in entire North-East India. It is constituted as a teaching, residential and non-affiliating institution of higher education for young women. It resolves to provide facilities to women for graduate and post-graduate education in
applied science, humanities, technology, industry, commerce, social science, health science and management through instruction and training. The university aims to promote research for advancement of knowledge and for that matter to implement the depth of specialization.
The university solemnly intends to provide opportunity to building career and shaping personality so that the graduated students can aim to achieve their desired goal even in their student days and can start the next phase of career as independent entrepreneurs besides settling down in various positions and professions.
Courses offered by Assam Women's University:
At present, the university offers under graduate, post graduate programmes including a post-graduate diploma programme in computer application, each with a capacity of 25 seats. In addition, five seats in each department are available under endowment (high fee) category.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Women's University Admission 2020:
• Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
• A candidate applying for undergraduate programme shall be at least 17 years of age as on August 1, 2020 (i.e., must have been born before 01-08-2003).

Selection Process of Assam Women's University Admission 2020:
• Selection of eligible candidates for admission to BA in Psychology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, MBA, MTTM, MLIS, MPT, MSW, MA in Political Science, MA in English, MA in Psychology and MA in Mass Communication and Journalism will be based on their performance in the entrance test (Subject to change as per Govt. notification). For other programmes, selection will be on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates will have to appear personally before the Selection Committee (subject to change) at their own expense, on the scheduled date of admission.
• The time and venue for the entrance test will be notified
Assam Women's University (AWU) Fee 2020:
Payment of fees has been waived for Academic Session 2020-2021, as per instructions given by Director of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam vide notification No. PC/HE/SOPD/11/2020/10 dated 17th June, 2020. However, Self-Financed Programmes like Master of Social Works (MSW), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) and MA in Psychology are exempted from this Fee Waiver scheme.
Process of Online Application for AWU Admission 2020:
Step 1: Scroll down, go to the Important Link section.
Step 2: Click on the Online Application Link.
Step 3: Click the appropriate Apply here button at the bottom of this page.
Step 4: It is mandatory to give your Email Address, then select the programme level.
Step 5: UG / PG Programmes section: Here you need to select the programme, you are applying for.
Step 6: Personal Details-I section: Here you need to provide the Name of the Candidate, Upload Candidate's Passport size photo, Upload Candidate's Signature, Date of Birth, Nationality, Religion and Category
Step 7: Based on the Category that you have selected you will be redirected to next section. If you select General you will be redirected to Personal Details-II section, otherwise you will be redirected to Category specific section(s) where you will be asked to upload your specific category certificate(s) (this is optional while applying).
Step 8: Personal Details-II section: Here you need to provide your Marital Status, Mother Tongue, Address for Communication, Permanent Address, Mobile Number, Father's / Guardian's Name, Occupation of Father / Guardian, Mother's Name, Occupation of Mother, Annual Family Income, Are you applying for Hostel Accommodation and the Medical Certificate (this is optional while applying).
Step 9: Class 10 Academic Performance section: Here you need to provide the Board / University Name from where you passed, Name of the Institution, Year of Passing, Percentage / CGPA scored along with these information, you are required to upload your Class 10 Admit Card, Marksheet and Pass Certificate (this is optional while applying).
Step 10: Class 10+2 Academic Performance section: Here you need to select the Stream (Arts / Commerce / Science) and provide the Board / University Name from where you passed, Name of the Institution, Year of Passing, Percentage / CGPA scored along with these information, you are required to upload your Class 10+2 Marksheet and Pass Certificate (this is optional while applying).
Step 11: This section is for candidate's applying PG Programmes only. Graduation Academic Performance section: Here you need to provide the Name of the Programme, Board / University Name from where you passed, Name of the Institution, Year of Passing, Percentage / CGPA scored along with these information, you are required to upload your Graduation Marksheet and Pass Certificate (this is optional while applying).
Step 12: Once you submit, a copy of the filled-up Application form will be sent to your Email, Kindly download it for future references.
