Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a job advertisement to conduct Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 for the recruitment of approximately 12256 Group B and Group C posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc. Eligible candidates may apply online at SSC career portal (ssc.nic.in).

Name of Examination: Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026

Name of Posts: Various Group B and Group C Posts (Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector Posts, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Executive Assistant, Research Assistant, Divisional Accountant, Sub Inspector, Junior Statistical Officer, Office Superintendent, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant etc.)

No of Posts: 12,256 posts (approximately)

Pay Scale: Pay Level 4 to Pay Level 8 (Pay Scale of ₹ 25500 to 81100 till ₹ 47600 to 151100, as per level of posts)

 

Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL Recruitment

Age Limit: Age range for four categories of posts are as follows: 

 

 → 18 to 27 years,

 → 20 to 30 years,

 → 18 to 30 years and

 → 18 to 30 years.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below 

 

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC: 3 years

• PwD (Unreserved): 10 years

• PwD (OBC): 13 years

• PwD (SC/ST): 15 years 

Educational Qualification:

➢ Junior Statistical Officer: 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;

Or

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

 

➢ Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

 

Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute.

➢ All Other Posts:  

 

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

❖ The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 01-08-2026.
