Gauhati University has released advertisement for the recruitment 694 Grade III & Grade IV Vacancy under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department Assam. This is the for information to all concerned that as per the instruction from the Govt. of Assam the Online Portal for applying into the various vacant posts under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Assam, the Directorate of Dairy Development and the Agriculture Department, Assam, Khanapara and its Districts Offices are kept on hold until further notice from the Govt. of Assam.
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Recruitment 2021 Details:
1. Junior Assistant (HQ)
No of Posts: 61
• Animal Husbandry & Veterinary: 46 Posts
• Diary Development: 15 Posts
Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt. Moreover, the candidate must possess knowledge of computer as specified below:-
(A) Candidate must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent) of any operating system i.e. MS Windows Linux Mac etc. such as,
(a) Word processor,
(b) Spreadsheet,
(c) Presentation graphics,
(d) Concept of Database,
(e) Internet,
(f) e-mail
(B) Candidate must possess a minimum 6 (Six) months Diploma in Computer application/Knowledge from an Institute recognized by the Govt.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
2. Junior Assistant (Sub-Ordinate)
No of Posts: 115
• Animal Husbandry & Veterinary: 99 Posts
• Diary Development: 16 Posts
Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt. Moreover, the candidate must possess knowledge of computer as specified below:-
(A) Candidate must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent) of any operating system i.e. MS Windows Linux Mac etc. such as,

3. Electrician / Plant Operator
No of Posts: 11
Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination with 2 years of ITI Diploma in Electrical from any recognized Institute of Govt. of Assam.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
4. Grade IV
No of Posts: 507
Qualification: A candidate should be Class VIII passed from any recognized Educational Institutes and the candidate must produce the Certificate of VIII pass from the School Authority they had attended with due Seal and Signature of the authority.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2, Rs.12,000 – Rs.52,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 3,900 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Other Criteria of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen as defined under Article 5-8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Age: Candidate should not be more than 40 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020
Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
i) 03 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
ii) 05 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) & ST (H).

Instruction For document:
• Size of document must be less than 200 kb.
• Height of document must be between 500 pixel - 800 pixel.
• width of document must be between 400 pixel - 600 pixel.
Instruction For Photograph:
• Size of photograph must be less than 35 kb.
• Height of photograph must be between 250 pixel - 320 pixel.
• width of photograph must be between 150 pixel - 220 pixel.
Instruction For Signature:
• Size of signature must be less than 30 kb.
• Height of signature must be between 100 pixel - 180 pixel.
• width of signature must be between 150 pixel - 220 pixel.
