IASST Guwahati Recruitment 2021 Details:
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of Post: 1
Qualification: Master degree in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science with minimum 55% marks.
Desirable: Candidate should have sound knowledge of DNA, RNA extraction from various biospecimens. Preference will be given to candidates having sound knowledge in DNA isolation, collection and handling of biospecimens from of cancer patients especially experience in handling cell free nucleic acids. Basic or advanced knowledge in bioinformatics especially exome sequence analysis, mutation detection etc. in addition to the essential qualification shall be an added advantage.
Age: Upper age limit maximum 28 years at the time of the time of application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
Fellowship:
i) ₹ 31000.00+HRA per month, for scholars who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or equivalent.
ii) For others who do not fall under (i) is as per DST guidelines.
Duration: Appointment will be initially for a period of 12 (twelve) months which may be extended to another year depending on the research progress and performance of the incumbent and status of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview (via E-mail). Further, they must have to bring their original mark-sheets, certificates and other credential if, called for interview. Shortlisted candidates may appear before the interview board through video conferencing, subject to prior approval.
