Eligibility Criteria of Cotton University PG Admission 2026
• The minimum eligibility condition for admission to Postgraduate Degree Programmes of Cotton University is a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours/ Major from a recognised university, and LLB degree for LLM.
• Honours/Major is not required for admission to MCA and PG Diploma programme.
• Candidates who have appeared/ appearing in UG Final Semester Examination 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Students willing to get admission in to these courses have to appear in Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination, 2026 (CPGEE 2026).
Name of Exam: Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination, 2026 (CPGEE 2026)
Date of Exam: First week of July 2026 (Tentative)
Type of Exam: OMR Based Entrance Test
Type of Questions: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Syllabus of exam: Questions shall be based on the Cotton University UG syllabuses of the concerned subjects except for subjects not being taught as Honours/Core courses in this University. For those subjects not being taught as Honours/Core courses in Cotton University the entrance examinations shall be based on corresponding standard syllabuses reputed Universities of India under UGC.
Negative Marking: For every correct answer 4 marks shall be awarded and for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.
Cotton University PG Merit Lists & Admission:
(i) Subject-wise merit list will be prepared for CPGEE-2026 and GAT-B 2026 (for MBBT) examinations. Merely being named in the merit list does not mean that a candidate is entitled for admission. The merit list may be published tentatively within l5 days of conclusion of the CPGEE-2026.
(ii) Admission into both Cotton Graduates and Open Category candidates will be announced soon after publication of the merit lists.
