BIS Recruitment Details

Name of Post: Consultants for Standardization Activities

Total Posts: 160

Vacancy @ Guwahati: 2 Posts

Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as on last date of receipt of applications.

Remuneration: A consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹75,000/- fixed for one year. The remuneration is subject to statutory deductions.

Tenure of Engagement: The engagement is purely on contract for a period of One year. 

Sector and Post-wise Qualification

1. Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry — 1 Post (Guwahati)

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree Chemical Engineering.

Experience: 2 Years work experience in Food/ Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy Engineering field.

2. Food — 1 Post (Guwahati)

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree Food Technology Engineering.

Experience: 2 Years work experience in Food/ Chemical Engineering field.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Selection Process

Selection Process: All the applications received shall be scrutinized and shortlisted. Candidates will be shortlisted in the light of their qualifications, experience and other details provided in the application form. Wherever the number of applications is large, the shortlisting of the candidates may be done based on the marks obtained in essential qualification or meeting desirable qualification etc. Mere fulfillment of qualification or shortlisting shall not confer any right to be engaged as Consultants for Standardization Activities. Shortlisted candidates will be called for technical knowledge assessment, interview, etc. BIS reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
