Directorate of Sericulture, Assam has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 140 Sericulture Demonstrator vacancy under the Directorate of Sericulture, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

In response to the Advertisement published vide no. SDP 4/2022/58/4578 dtd 28-02-2023 for recruitment to the post of 140 nos. of Sericulture Demonstrator, And in the light of orders of Hon'ble High Court Gauhati No. for the WP(C) 1402/2023 dtd. 15-03-2023 and WP(C)1469/2023 dtd. 15-03- 2023; the 55 nos. of petitioners are allowed to apply for the said post. Further, all earlier clauses as per Advertisement No. above shall remain same.

Eligibility Criteria of Sericulture Assam Recruitment:

Educational Qualification: 

(a) HSLC examination passed with one year Certificate Training Course from Sericultural Training Institute, Titabor, Jorhat up to 1996-97 batch.

(b) HSSLC (Science) examination passed or equivalent with one year Certificate Training Course from Sericultural Training Institute, Titabor, Jorhat from 1997-98 onwards batch.

Age: Age: The age of the candidates must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years and not be more than 40 (forty) years as on 01.01.2023. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for persons with Disabilities.

The age limit of the candidate will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit card / Certificate issued by a recognised Board/Council only and no other documents shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

Selection Process of Sericulture Assam Recruitment 2021:

• It will be through Interview of Skill test.

• Selection Committee will be formed for the interview and the decision of the Committee will be final and binding.

• The Committee has the right to accept or reject the candidature after proper scrutiny of the Documents/ Testimonials etc.

Directorate of Sericulture Assam has released written exam admit card for the recruitment of 180 Grade IV Vacancy under Sericulture Department, Assam. Candidates who applied for Sericulture Assam Recruitment 2021 may download their admit card for the written test.

Sericulture Exam Postponed:

It is for information of all concern that in pursuance to this office notice, the written test for the post of Grade-IV under the Directorate of Sericulture, Assam scheduled to be held on 28th February 2021 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM is hereby postponed due to unavoidable circumstances until further order. Selection Process/ Syllabus of Assam Sericulture Grade-4 Exam:

2. There will be ONE merit list for the post category wise, i.e. Unreserved, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) & EWS separately for male and female as per vacancies for different posts for the entire State.

3. The select list shall be published in two widely circulated news paper and website of the Directorate.

2. Sericulture Specialist
