Eligibility Criteria of UPSC IES/ ISS Examination


Educational Qualification:

(i) For IES: A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by of an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

(ii) For ISS: A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standard for admission to Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2024 as per Regulations given in Appendix III of the rules for the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2024 published in Gazette of India dated 10th April, 2024.

Age Limit:

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2024 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1994 and not later than 1st August, 2003.

The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable as follows :—

(i) SC/ST: 5 years
(ii) OBC: 3 years
(iii) PWD: 10 years

• For Others: Rs. 200/-

How to Apply for UPSC IES/ ISS Examination 2024


Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website https//www.upsconline.nic.in.

Candidate should have details of one Photo ID Card viz. Aadhaar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/ Central Government.

The details of this Photo ID Card will have to be provided by the candidate while filling up the online application form. The candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of the Photo ID whose details have been provided in the online application by him/ her. This Photo ID Card will be used for all future referencing and the candidate is advised to carry this Photo ID Card while appearing for Examination/ Personality Test.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CMS Examination


Age Limit: A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August, 2024 i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1992. However, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Services, the upper age limit must not exceed 35 (thirty-five years) as on 1st August, 2024.

Age Relaxation: 

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years 

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed both the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.
 
Physical and Medical Standards: Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/ medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2024 as per regulations.


Application Fee for UPSC CMS Exam 2024


Candidates (Excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of SBI.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) Exam

 
Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2024 i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1992 and not later than 1st August, 2003.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CDS Exam 2022:


Nationality: Candidate must be unmarried and must either be:
 
(i) a Citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:

• IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1st January, 2004 only are eligible.

• Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1st January, 2004 only are eligible.

• Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2023 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1st January, 2003 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs.

• Officers' Training Academy: (SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2004 only are eligible.

• Officers' Training Academy: (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2004.

Educational Qualification:

• I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

• Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.

• Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CAPF Recruitment:


Age Limit:

A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2022, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1997 and not later than 1st August, 2002.

Relaxation: The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.

(i) upto a maximum of five (05) years if a candidate belongs to a SC or a ST.
(ii) upto a maximum of three (03) years in the case of candidates belonging to OBC.
(iii) upto a maximum of five (05) years for Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Servicemen will also be eligible for this relaxation. However the total relaxation claimed on account of Government Service will be limited to five years.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.


Application Fee for UPSC CAPF Exam 2022:


Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card / UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.

Applicants who opt for "Pay by Cash" mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. "Pay by Cash” mode will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 09.05.2022 i.e. one day before the closing date; however applicants who have generated their Pay-in-Slip before it is deactivated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date.

Such applicants who are unable to pay by cash on the closing date i.e during banking hours at SBI Branch, for reasons whatsoever, even if holding valid pay-in-slip will have no other offline option but to opt for available online Debit/Credit Card/UPI Payment or Internet Banking payment mode on the closing date i.e. till 18:00 Hours of 10.05.2022.
