Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) invites applications from eligible candidates for around 1,30,000 vacancies for the following posts in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways:
(A) Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) :
Such posts like, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Good Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist etc.
(B) Para Medical Staff :
Such posts like, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Health & Malaria Inspector, Lab Superintendent etc.
(C) Ministerial And Isolated Categories :
Such posts like, Stenographer, Chief Law Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi) etc.
(D) Level-1 Posts :
Such posts like, Assistant/ Helper, Track Maintainer Grade IV, in various technical departments (Electrical/ Engineering, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, and level-1 posts in other departments.

Educational Qualification: Different Educational Qualification are prescribed for various posts. For full details refer to detailed CEN to be published on the Official websites of RRBs or RRCs, whichever applicable.
Age Limit & Relaxation (as on 01-07-2019) : For details about the prescribed lower/ upper age limits (including upper age relaxation) prescribed for various posts, please refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the Official websites of RRBs or RRCs, whichever applicable.
Salary, Pay Scale And Allowances: Different posts carry different Pay Levels and allowances as admissible as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix. For full details refer to detailed CEN to be published on the Official websites of RRBs or RRCs, whichever applicable.
Medical Standards: Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed Medical Standards for the posts for which they apply. For this, they should refer to the detailed CEN to be published on the Official websites of RRBs/ RRCs.
Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT).
Examination Fee:
a) Rs.500/- For all applicants except the fee concession categories (Out of this fee of Rs.500/- an amount of Rs.400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing 1st Stage CBT).
b) Rs.250/- For applicants belongs to SC/ST/ExS/PwBDs/Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically Backward Class. (This fee of Rs.250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing 1st Stage CBT).
Important Instructions For RRBs/ RRCs Recruitment 2019:
- Detailed CEN will be published on the official websites of all participating RRBs or RRCs on the opening date of registration of online application of respective CEN.
- Vacancies indicated above and in the CEN are provisional and may increase or decrease in total or specific units/ communities/ posts at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway administration.
- Interested Candidates are advised to go through the post Parameter Table, Vacancy Table and ascertain and their eligibility to apply through ONLINE mode to any one RRB or RRC only, whichever applicable, depending upon their eligibility. Application to more than one RRB or RRC, whichever applicable, will lead to rejection of all the applications for the respective CEN.
