NVS invites online applications from Indian citizens for recruitment on direct basis to the posts of Assistant Commissioner, PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Category of Teachers (Librarian, Art, Music, PET-Male, PET-Female), Legal Assistant, Female Staff Nurse, Catering Assistant and Lower Division Clerk in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya / HQ / Regional Offices of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

1. Assistant Commissioner - Group-A
No. of Posts: 05

Qualification: Master's Degree in Humanities/Science/Commerce and Persons holding analogous post or post of Principal in the Level -12 (Rs.78800-209200) in the Pay Matrix.

Upper Age Limit: 45 years


2. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) (Group-B)
No. of Post: 430

Qualification: Master Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 50% with B.Ed.

Upper Age Limit: 40 years


3. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) (Group-B)
No. of Posts: 1154
Qualification: Bachelor Degree in the relevant subject, CTET passed & B.Ed.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years


4. Miscellaneous Category of Teachers (Group-B)
No. of Post: 564
Qualification:

• Music: Five years study in Music Institution/ A Bachelors Degree with Music from a recognized university and B.Ed.
• Art: After passing Secondary Examination (Class X or equivalent) must possess a Diploma (05 years) in any discipline of Fine Arts as Drawing/ Painting/ Sculpture/ Graphic Arts/ Crafts.
• PET:  Bachelor's degree in Physical i) Working knowledge of Education.
• Librarian: University's degree in Library Science OR Graduation with One-year Diploma in Library Science

Upper Age Limit: 35 years


5. Female Staff Nurse (Group B)
No. of Post: 55

Qualification: Passed Sr. Secondary Examination (Class 12th Standard) or equivalent and Grade 'A' (Three years) Diploma/Certificate in Nursing.

Upper Age Limit: 35 years


6. Legal Assistant (Group C)
No. of Post: 01
Qualification: Degree in Law.
Upper Age Limit: 32 years


7. Catering Assistant (Group C)
No. of Post: 26
Qualification: Secondary School (X class pass) and Three Years Diploma in Catering.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years


8. Lower Division Clerk (Group C) 
No. of Post: 135

Qualification: Passed 12th Standard (Sr. Secondary) with 50% marks and possessing minimum speed of 30 words per minutes in English typing or 25 words per minutes in Hindi typing correspond to 10500 KDPH.

Upper Age Limit: 27 years


Age Relaxation: 

• SC/ ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• Women Candidate: 10 years
• PWD: UR-10 years, OBC-NCL-13 years & SC/ST- 15 years

Examination Fee:

• Assistant Commissioner: Rs.1500/-
• PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Category Teachers & Female Staff Nurse: Rs.1200/-
• Legal Assistant, Catering Assistant & Lower Division Clerk: Rs.1000/-

Mode of Selection: Written Examination / Computer Based Test (CBT) and Interview / Personal Interaction.
