Assam Postal Circle Recruitment 2019 - 919 Posts Vacancy - India Post Jobs Notification 2019

Eligibility Criteria/ Educational Qualification:

(i) Essential Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) The Candidate passed Xth class examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.

(ii) Compulsory knowledge of Local Language (i.e Assamese for Assam Circle): The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects]

(iii) Basic Computer Training: The candidates for all approved categories of GDS referred to in (i) above will be required to furnish Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration.

(iv) Knowledge of Cycling: Knowledge of Cycling is a pre-requisite condition for all GDS posts. In case of a candidate having knowledge of riding a scooter or motor cycle, that may be considered as knowledge of cycling.

(v) Local language studied up to class X.

Salary Offered/ Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):

The following Minimum TRCA shall be payable to the categories of GDS as mentioned in Directorate Order No.17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018.

Age Limit (as on 05.08.2019):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST (5-yrs), OBC (3-yrs)/ PWD (10-yrs) as per rules.

Application Fee:

• For UR/ OBC/ EWS Male: Rs. 100/-
• Female, SC/ST candidates & PwD Candidates: Nill
• Candidates can pay the fee through Credit/ Debit cards & Net Banking.

Candidates who desires to apply online will have to register himself / herself in the portal through www.indiapost.gov.in or http://appost.in/gdsonline/ with effect from 27.01.2020 to 09.02.2020 with the following basic details to obtain the Registration Number:

i) Name in Capital (as per X class certificate Marks Memo including spaces)
ii) Father Name
iii) Mobile Number (Unique for one Registration number)
iv) Date of Birth
v) Gender
vi) Community
vii) For PH - Type of Disability i.e. (HH/OH/VH) and Percentage of disability
viii) State in which Xth class passed
ix) Board in which Xth class passed
x) Year of Passing Xth class
xi) Class-10th Certificate Number / Roll Number (optional)

Steps To Apply Online:

Stage 1 - Registration: First of all the candidate has to register in the Registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number.
Stage 2 - Fee Payment: UR/OBC/EWS Male need to make fee payment. The Offline payments can be made at any  Head Post Office. List of Post Offices.
