Cotton University, Guwahati invites Applications are invited for recruitment the following posts i.e. Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant, Administrative Helper (Grade-IV) from candidates who are Indian nationals and are committed to establish a University of Excellence, proud of working beyond call of duty and uphold the highest standard of ethics and public accountability.

1. Scientific Assistant
No. of Post: 04 [UR-01, OBC/MOBC-01, SC-01, EWS-01]

Essential Qualifications: A bachelor degree in science with at least 55 percent marks or its equivalent in the CGPA scale: At least 5 years of experience of working in a laboratory with computer skill.

Preferable: Proficiency in English and Assamese; good command over laboratory procedures, handling of chemicals, glassware,s, with good interpersonal skills, experience of handling sophisticated instruments.

Desired age limit: below 38 years
Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000/- to 87,000/- + Gp- Rs 9,700/-



2. Library Assistant
No. of Post: 03 [UR-02, OBC/MOBC-01]

Essential Qualifications: Graduate In any discipline with at least 50 percent marks or its equivalent in the CGPA scale, Diploma in Library Sciences (Not Mandatory for persons with Degree/PG in Library Science), At least one year of experience in assisting in a well established.Library

Preferable:  Proficiency in English and Assamese; proficient in library works; good organizational skills; good interpersonal skills. Library software & computer knowledge.

Desired age limit: below 38 years
Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000/- to 87,000/- + Gp- Rs 9,700/-



3. Administrative Helper (Grade-IV)
No. of Post: 01 (UR)

Essential Qualifications: High School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent examination passed from a recognised board with at least 50 percent marks.

Preferable:   Proficiency in English and Assamese; Computer Literacy and capable of multi tasking.

Desired age limit: below 38 years
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000/- to 37,500/- + Gp- Rs 4,400/-

• For S No 3: Rs. 500/- only
• Reserved Category (OBC/MOBC/SC/STP/STH/EWS) applicants need to pay 50 percent of the above specified amount. This application fee is non-refundable.
