Applications are invited by IASST Guwahati for the recruitment of the following position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on contractual basis for the period of two years with consolidated pay under the DBT sponsored project.

Educational qualification and Experience:
1st class M.Sc. Degree in Biological Sciences or Post-graduate degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/Zoology/Microbiology/Entomology/ and should have two years of research experience in handling NGS data analysis or relevant bioinformatics experience. Familiarity with Java/C/C++/Perl/Python/Shell scripting and with RDBMS or database management is desirable.

Pay:

1. Rs. 35,000 + 16% HRA per month for (candidates with CSIR-UGC/ICAR NET including lectureship OR GATE. National Level examination DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. qualified) for Masters in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Entomology with 2 years of research experience.
2. Rs. 25,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates without above stated National examination and prior research experience.

Age: Age limit is 28 years. It is relaxable for SC/ST/ Women candidate as per Govt. rule.
