Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati invites eligible candidates to appear a walk-in-interview for the following positions which shall be filled purely on contractual basis under a project of DBT, Govt. of India, in the Department of Microbiology, GMCH, Guwahati-32, Assam.

DBT Project Name: "Mapping hotspots of MDR-TB in Assam and Tripura using Genomic approaches".

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: Post-graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post-graduate Degree in Professional Course. 

Desirable: Two years research experience in a recognized Institute/ Laboratory.

Remuneration: Rs.35,960 per month.

2. Laboratory Technician
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Desirable: Two years research experience in a recognized institute/ Laboratory.

Remuneration: Rs.18,000 per month.


3. Field Worker
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: Graduate in science subjects and conversant with local field activities/ works/ skills etc.
Desirable: Two years working experience in the field.

Remuneration: Rs.18,000 per month.


4. Laboratory Assistant
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or B.Sc. with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).

Desirable: Five years of experience in related field from a Govt. institution or recognized institute or certificate of one-year training in the relevant area.

Remuneration: Rs.15,800 per month.

• Venue: Department of Microbiology, 5th Floor, Narakasur Hill Top, Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati-781032 (Assam).
