Eligibility Criteria of Gauhati Commerce College Recruitment:
Educational Qualification (As per Govt. OM No. AHE.407/2017/54 dated 25/11/2020):
• Must secure at least 55% marks at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject and must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC / CSIR.
• Candidates who were awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (minimum standards and procedures for award of Ph.D. degree ) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility conditions of NET /SET/ SLET. The candidates must have good academic record with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalent grade in point scale) at the Master’s degree level in the concerned subject. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to SC/ ST/PWD candidates. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to Ph.D. holders who have obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991.
• Candidates must have PRC certificate and proficiency in Local Language
• For the post of Assistant Professor in Mathematics, applicants must have Statistics as a subject in Degree level.
The candidates have to acquire qualifications as on the last date for submitting applications. Eligibility like MPhil / Ph.D./ Seminar Papers / Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of interview and not beyond.
Age Limit: As per Govt. of Assam Rule .
