Educational Qualification for UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam:

A candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. 


Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam:

Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2021.

Relaxation: The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable:

• up to a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to SC or ST.
• up to a maximum of 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to OBC who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates;


UPSC Civil Services Exam Fee 2021:

• General: Rs. 100/-
• SC/ ST/ Female & PwBD: Nill

Payment Mode: Depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash/ Net Banking/ Credit/ Debit card.


UPSC Civil Services Exam Admit Card 2021:

The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available in the UPSC website [https://upsconline.nic.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post.


How to Apply for UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2021:

Candidates are required to apply Online by using the website https://upsconline.nic.in. The online Applications can be filled up to 24th March, 2021 till 6:00 PM.
