Scale of Pay: Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5600/- and other Allowances, as admissible under the Rules.

Educational Qualification of Assam Police Constable AB UB Recruitment
Constable (UB): Candidates must be H.S. or Class XII passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.
Constable (AB): Candidates must be H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.
Note: Applicants having educational qualification of Higher Secondary and above may apply for both Armed Branch & Unarmed Branch. In such cases, Applicant has to clearly mention his/her preferences for the posts.
Other Criteria of Assam Police Constable Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Limit: The age of the Applicant must be 18-25 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e.,
Applicants born not before 01-01-2001 and not later than 01-01-2008).
Note: The age of the Applicants will be calculated on the basis of the
Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Passed Certificate issued by a
recognized Board/Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu
thereof for this purpose.
Age Relaxation
• SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 (five) years
• OBC/ MOBC: 3 (three) years
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must submit a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number while submitting the application for this recruitment.
