Grade-III Written Exam Syllabus
On 15th July 2024, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released an official notification regarding the Assam Direct Recruitment Class-III Posts Syllabus. The complete details of that notification are discussed below.
Name of Post: Grade-III Posts
No of Posts: 7,600 Posts
Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for wrong answers. The negative marking to be awarded for each wrong answer will be equivalent to 1/4th of the mark(s) allotted for that question. For example, negative marking for the wrong answer of a question carrying 1 mark will be 0.25 and similarly negative marking for the wrong answer of a question carrying 2 marks will be 0.50.
Grade-III Driver (HSLC) Syllabus Details
The Assam Direct Recruitment Syllabus for the posts having minimum essential qualification of HSLC or equivalent is as follows.
Type of Exam: Written Examination (OMR)
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
No of Questions & Marks: 150 MCQs (150 Marks)
Date of Exam: Announced Later
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours (180 Minutes)

On 15th July 2024, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released an official notification regarding the Assam Direct Recruitment Class-IV Posts Syllabus. The complete details of that notification are discussed below.
Name of Post: Grade-IV Posts
No of Posts: 5000 Posts
• Class VIII: 1,950 Posts
• HSLC: 1,060 Posts
• HSLC+ ITI: 1,990 Posts
No of Exams: There shall be two (02) exams on the same day:-
• Exam-1: For Posts/ categories of Posts for read upto Class VIII category.
• Exam-2: For Posts/categories of Posts for HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed category including HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed along-with ITI pass certificate in the trade of Wireman/Electrician/Fitter/Welder/Machinist/Electronics mechanic from Govt. of Assam approved institute.
Type of Exam: Written Examination (OMR)
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
No of Questions & Marks: 135 MCQs ( 135 Marks )
Date of Exam: Announced Later
Duration of Exam: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
Language of Question Paper: Question papers will be in the following languages – Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo and Hindi.
Negative Marking: Negative marks of 0.25 will be awarded for each incorrect answer.
Class-IV or Grade IV Syllabus Details:
The syllabus of the written examinations for recruitment to the Class-IV Posts shall be in consonance with the Elementary School Pass Level examination of SCERT for Read upto Class VIII category and High School Level Certificate Examination of Board of Secondary Education, Assam for HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed category including HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed along-with ITI pass certificate in the trade of Wireman/Electrician/Fitter/ Welder/Machinist/Electronics mechanic from Govt. of Assam approved institute.
