Grade-III Written Exam Syllabus

On 15th July 2024, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released an official notification regarding the Assam Direct Recruitment Class-III Posts Syllabus. The complete details of that notification are discussed below.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking  for wrong answers. The negative marking to be awarded for each wrong answer will be equivalent to 1/4th of the mark(s) allotted for that question. For example, negative marking for the wrong answer of a question carrying 1 mark will be 0.25 and similarly negative marking for the wrong answer of a question carrying 2 marks will be 0.50.

Grade-IV Written Exam Syllabus


On 15th July 2024, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released an official notification regarding the Assam Direct Recruitment Class-IV Posts Syllabus. The complete details of that notification are discussed below.

   • Class VIII: 1,950 Posts
   • HSLC: 1,060 Posts
   • HSLC+ ITI: 1,990 Posts

No of Exams: There shall be two (02) exams on the same day:-

   • Exam-1: For Posts/ categories of Posts for read upto Class VIII category.
   • Exam-2: For Posts/categories of Posts for HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed category including HSLC (Class Ten) passed or equivalent examination passed along-with ITI pass certificate in the trade of Wireman/Electrician/Fitter/Welder/Machinist/Electronics mechanic from Govt. of Assam approved institute.

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Class-IV or Grade IV Syllabus Details:

Note:

Minimum Marks to Qualify in Assam TET:

A candidate is required to score 60 % i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ST (Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH), there will be relaxation of 5 %. Thus, for these candidates, qualifying marks will be 83 out of 150 i.e. 55 % .

SEBA New Syllabus 2021: For Class (9 & 10) Download PDF

SEBA New Syllabus 2021 - For Class 9 and 10:

SEBA has released reduced/ new syllabus for Class 9 and 10 students of Assam for the year 2021-22. The revised syllabus can be download from the SEBA website (sebaonline.org). This year due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has reduced the Course Curriculum of each and every subject approximately by 40% in comparison with the Academic session 2019 for the convenience of Examination of the students of class IX and X in the academic session 2021-2022.

Official Announcement Regarding SEBA Reduced/ New Syllabus 2021-22:

As per the official notification released,

This is hereby notified for information of all concerned in view of the Covid — 19 pandemic, the educational institutions had to be closed from the 3rd week of April, 2021. During this period the schools had conducted online classes but most of the students could not attend due to various reasons. As such it has been noticed that there has been considerable Academic loss and it will be difficult for the students as well as the teachers to cover the course curriculum prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam for the Academic year 2021-2022.

Therefore the Board of Secondary Education, Assam has decided to reduce the Course Curriculum of each and every subject approximately by 40% in comparison with the Academic session 2019 for the convenience of Examination of the students of class IX and X in the academic session 2021-2022. The revised Course Curriculum will be provided in PDF to all Inspectors of Schools concerned which is to be circulated amongst all Heads of Schools, teachers and students of Class IX and X respectively. The revised syllabus will be also available in the SEBA website at www.sebaonline.org.

Further the syllabus is reduced only for the examination purpose for the academic session 2021-22 only and it is hereby requested to the teachers to teach the whole course if possible, so that students can have an adequate knowledge of their entire course content.

Assam Agriculture Department Syllabus:

(1) Written Test: The shortlisted candidates for the post of at Sl. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8 have to appear for written test with the following subjects.

(i) General Science...........30 Marks
(ii) General Maths.............30 Marks
(iii) General Knowledge....40 Marks

Total 100 Marks

(2) Computer Proficiency Test: Candidates who have apply for the post of Jr. Asstt, Stenographer, Steno-Typist, Primary Investigator/ Field Investigator/ Field Supervisor and Computor has to appear an additional Test.


Selection Process of Assam Agriculture Recruitment 2021:

There will be Two Tests i.e. (i) First Phase Test and (ii) Second Phase test all the posts.

(a) First Phase Test :-

The Written Test will be the First Phase Test for the all above mentioned posts. Written Test will be conducted on the subjects for the above mentioned posts.

The duration of the Written Test will be of 2 hours. The test will be for 100 marks with 100 questions and will be completely OMR based. Each question will carry 1 (one) mark. There will negative marking of 1/2 (half) mark for each wrong answer. The candidates will have to use Black Ballpoint Pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet.


(b) Second Phase Test:-

After completion of the Written Test , a merit list will be prepared for each category of the posts for the both male and female on the basis of total marks scored in Written Test. Candidates will be called for Second Phase Test in order of merit at the rate of 4 (four) times the number of posts allotted in respect of each cadre & category-wise for both male & female.

If the total number of qualifying candidates turn out to be less than 4 (four) times per number of posts, all qualifying candidates but no other will be called for Second Phase Test. If there are candidates scoring the same marks in the written test as the last candidates selected for Second Phase Test by the 4 times formula in a particular case, the candidates scoring the same marks will also be called for second Phase Test and therefore, the number may exceed the 4 times to that extent for the particulars case and category only.

The Second Phase Test will be computer based exam to test the knowledge of the posts applied and proficiency in computer operations and Shorthand Test for those candidates who have applied for the post of Stenographer and Steno-Typist.


Scrutiny of Documents:-

The original documents along with a set of self-attested Photostat copies of the documents will be checked before entering the examination hall and the qualified candidates are allowed to appear in Second Phase Test . Submission of any incorrect information or forged document at any stage will lead to disqualification of the candidate and may also render him/her liable to criminal prosecution. Original documents of a candidate may be put to check at any stage of the recruitment process also.

APSC CCE Syllabus 2020: Download Model Question Paper

APSC CCE Syllabus 2020 / Exam Pattern / Model Question Paper:

Assam Public Service Commission will be holding the next CCE as per the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019 published vide Govt. notification No. AAP 219/2018/10 dated. Dispur the 5th August, 2019 available on the Commission’s website.

In this regard, the Commission publishes few model question papers relating to the CCE (Preliminary) Examination namely, General Studies-I and General Studies-II as guidance to CCE aspirants.

The highlight of key modifications suppose to be implemented in Combined Competitive Examination conducted by Assam Public Service Commission from the next time. 


1. Amendment in Schedule: The Assam Public Service Commission shall hold Combined Competitive Examination in two stages,

(i) Preliminary Examination and
(ii) Main Examination


2. Amendment in Age:

The minimum age for Combined Competitive Examination shall be 21 (twenty-one) years and shall not be more than 38 (thirty-eight) years on the first January of the year in which the examination is advertised by the Assam Public Service Commission with relaxation of three years in case of the candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC, five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST and ten years for the candidates of Persons with Disabilities.


3. Amendment in Main Examination: The APSC main examination shall consist of written examination and interview tests. The written examination shall consist of one Essay Paper, five papers on the subject of General Studies and two papers on any one subject from the list of Optional subjects.  The question paper shall be set out in English. There shall be two qualifying papers to test the Language communication skills of the candidates. Marks thus obtained by the candidates in the main examination (Written Part as well as Interview) would determine their final ranking.


4. Schemes and Subjects for the Preliminary Examination: 

The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) shall consist of two papers:

1. Paper-1: General Studies I 200 Marks 2 Hours Duration
2. Paper-2: General Studies II 200 Marks 2 Hours Duration

Total - 400 Marks

The total qualifying marks of Paper-I General Studies I of Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination may be determined by the Commission.

Paper 1: General Studies I shall be set in such a way that 30% to 35% of questions shall compulsorily relate to Assam.

Paper 2: General Studies II shall have minimum qualifying marks of 33%.


5. Schemes and Subjects for the Main Examination:

The Main Examination shall consist of Written Examination and an Interview test. The written examinations shall consist of eight papers of conventional essay type/objective type with limited words and two qualifying Language papers (in the level of Class X). Marks obtained in Interview for Preliminary Test shall be counted for ranking.

Qualifying Papers (in the level of Class X):

1. Paper A (300 Marks - 3 Hours Duration)— Any one of the language from Assamese, Bengali, Bodo. Candidates from Dima Hasao, Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong Districts who had not studied any of these languages in school shall be exempted from appearing for qualifying language papers.
2. Paper B - English (300 Marks - 3 Hours Duration)

6. Negative Marking:

(a) There will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Multiple Choice Question Papers as decided by the Commission. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers (as detailed below) for all questions except some of the questions where the negative marking will be inbuilt in the form of different marks being awarded to the most appropriate and not so appropriate answer for such questions.

(b) There will be four alternatives for the answers to every question in Preliminary Examination. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

(c) If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.

(d) If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
