1. Principal, University Law College

i) LLM, Ph.D. in Law (as per Legal Education rules 2008 of B.C.I) Rule-16
ii) Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/ experience of fifteen Years of teaching/ research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
iii) A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Notification, New Delhi the 18th July, 2018.

2. Superintending Engineer
No of Posts: 1 Post (UR)
Eligibility Criteria:
i) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and serving under Central Government/State Government/ Union Territory Administration.
ii) Holding analogous post or experience as Dy. Engineer/Executive Engineer for 5 years or Assistant Executive Engineer for 10 years in regular service in recognized institution.
iii) Experience in Planning, Architecture, Urban Designing/ Management supervision/ Construction of murti-storied buildings, lecture theatres, laboratories, auditorium, residential quarters/hostels, roads, water supply, sanitary installations etc. is/are desirable.
ii) Holding analogous post or experience as Dy. Engineer/Executive Engineer for 5 years or Assistant Executive Engineer for 10 years in regular service in recognized institution.

3. Assistant University Engineer (Civil)
No of Posts: 1 Post (UR)
Eligibility Criteria: B.E. or B. Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
Experience: Minimum 5 (five) years working experience in relevant field. Experience in construction of buildings and other civil engineering projects, supervision, quality control etc.
4. Coordinator, Centre for South East Asian Studies
No of Posts: 1 Post (UR)
Eligibility Criteria:
i) MA in any discipline of Social Sciences & Humanities
ii) Experience in desired field is an added qualification.
iii) Minimum percentage of marks in M.A. 60% or equivalent grade.
iv) Required office management skill and good knowledge on computer applications.
v) Writing skill in English and Assamese.
5. Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Eligibility Criteria:
i) 3 year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 3 (three) years experience with valid Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency.
Or,
ii) BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 1 (one) year experience with valid Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency.
Application Fee of Gauhati University Vacancy
Application Fee and Mode of Payment: Applicants for the posts 1 to 4
will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand
Five Hundred Only). For SC/ST candidates, the application fee is Rs.
750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty) only. For the post of Junior
Engineer, all applicants are required to pay Rs. 1000/- and for SC / ST
candidates, the fee is Rs. 500/-. The payment mode is online. No other
mode of payment will be accepted. Fee once paid shall not be refunded
under any circumstances.

After submission of the ONLINE application in the portal a duly signed hard copy (pdf) of the completed application(s) must be submitted to "The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-781014, Assam" along with all necessary enclosures including the proof of submission of application fee and "No Objection Certificate (NOC)", wherever applicable, by the last date. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed "Application for the post of _____________________ (Whichever applicable) Advt. No. NTS-13/2025".
