Eligibility Criteria of NERIE B.Ed Admission
State Domicile:
The Candidate should select the appropriate State/UT against which he/she is seeking admission. As a proof of eligibility of State/UT for admission, the candidate has to compulsorily produce any one of the following documents:
(i) Evidence of having passed the qualifying examination from the State/UT as given in the advertisement and published in the CEE-2026 Website.
(ii) In case of legal guardian / guardian/ parents is an employee of State/ Central Govt. / Govt. of India undertaking / Autonomous Bodies, the latest certificate of place of posting of the legal guardian/guardian/ parents in the State/UT.
(iii) A domicile certificate/nativity certificate/residence certificate from the competent authority of the concerned State/UT.

Educational Qualification:
(a) Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology (with Science or Mathematics) or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). The candidates should upload only the marks secured in degree examination as qualifying marks.
(b) Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ BE/B.Tech. (science/ mathematics) are eligible for B.Ed. (science and math group) and candidates with Bachelor’s degree in social science/ humanities or Master degree in social science/humanities are eligible for B.Ed. (Social Science and Language group), respectively.

Syllabus for NERIE B.Ed CEE-2026
1) Language Proficiency in English: Indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.
2) Teaching Aptitude: Covering specific areas like attitude towards education, children, and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; digital initiatives and pedagogy, NEP 2020, and school education, NCF-SE-2023 and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.
3) Reasoning Ability: Indicating specific areas like verbal & non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships
