CTET Exam Notification 2024 (July) Notification

CBSE has released notification to conduct CTET Exam July 2024. The online registration/ application link to apply Central Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 will be available on CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in.  The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available shortly.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE CTET Exam 2024

Required Qualifications of CTET 2024

Candidates who are willing to appear in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), July 2024 must fulfill certain educational qualifications. The educational qualification required for CTET is different for primary and secondary level. The level wise educational qualification details are given below.

Paper-I :: Primary Level (Class I to V):

In order to appear in the primary level CTET exam, candidates must possess any one of the below-mentioned qualifications:

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
5. “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Paper-II :: Elementary Level (Class VI to VIII):

In order to appear in the elementary level CTET exam, candidates need to fulfill any one of the below-mentioned qualifications.

1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

Application Fee for CTET Exam July 2024

Candidates must pay a certain amount as an application fee to appear CTET Exam. The fee can be paid through online payment method (using their credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking). The application fee applicable for CTET July 2024 is as under:

How to Apply for CTET Exam 2024 July

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of CTET may apply online by visiting CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in. The online application form or registration process will start soon.

• Starting date of submission of online application: 7th March 2024

• Last date of submission of online application: 5th April 2024

• Issue of CTET Admit Card: Two Days before the day of examination

• Date of CTET Examination 2024: 7th July 2024
