DEE Special Educator Recruitment 2025 Notification
Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 59 vacant posts of Special Educator of the different Provincialised Secondary Schools under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam. Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply online at (www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in).

DSE Special Educator Recruitment Details
Name of Post: Special Educator
No of Posts: 59 posts
Name of Department: Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2 (PB-2) of ₹14,000/- to ₹70,000/- with a Grade Pay of ₹8,700/- per month, plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
District-wise vacancy: The
district-wise and category-wise break-up of vacancies showing the
reservation for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PwD/Women/Ex-Servicemen etc.
will be notified in due course of time.
Educational Qualification for DSE Special Educator Recruitment
Graduate/
Post Graduate from recognized University with at least 50% marks in
either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation
Council of India (RCI), but degrees obtained from off-campus and
distance education institution shall not be considered as valid.
However, degrees/ diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under
Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University
shall be considered as valid for the purpose of employment.
Other Criteria for DSE Special Educator Recruitment 2025
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation: The Category-wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned below:
• Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD): 50 years
Small Family Norms: No
person having more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 from
a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per
the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms .
TET cum Recruitment Test for DSE Special Educator
(a) Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test:
140 marks in the following paper:-
The
paper shall be of 140 marks (Pedagogy - 50 marks; About Assam and its
People - 35 marks; General Mathematics (10th Standard) - 15 Marks;
General English - 30 marks; General Studies and Current Affairs - 10
marks)"
(b) NCC / Sports / Fine Arts and Cultural Activities:
(i) 5 marks for NCC Certificates (5 marks for "C" Certificate and 3 marks for "B" Certificate)
Or
5 marks for participation in recognized sports at National Level representing Assam
Or
5 marks for achievements in Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State officially at National Level.
(ii)
Candidates who have passed the earlier High School TET and not been
appointed till date shall get weightage @ 5% of the marks secured in the
TET or maximum 5 marks for selection as a Graduate Teacher.
(c) There shall be one common question paper.
(d) The number of qualified candidates in the TET cum Recruitment Test shall be in the ratio of 1:1 of the vacancies advertised.

The eligible candidates shall apply online in the official website of DSE, Assam, i.e. www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in .
Documents required to be uploaded in colour:
i. Passport Size Photograph.
ii. Scanned Signature.
iii. HSLC Admit Card in support of age.
iv. HSLC, HSSLC, Graduate Degree and Post Graduate Degree Mark-sheet and Pass Certificate.
v. Any other Mark-sheet and Pass Certificate of Higher Education.
vi. Mark-sheet and Certificate of B.Ed. in Special Education.
vii. Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
viii.Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued
by Govt. authority/ UDID Card issued by the competent authority.
ix. Certificate of NCC (B & C Category only).
x. Certificate of recognized Sports at National Level representing the State of Assam.
xi. Certificate of Achievements in fine arts and cultural activities representing the state officially at National Level.
xii. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
xiii.Work Experience Certificate (if any).
