• Graduation such as B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com.
• Post-Graduation such as M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com.
• B.Ed.
• Eligible self-financed courses in government educational institutions, subject to the applicable conditions.

Eligibility for Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Scheme
• The applicant must be a girl student.
• The student must be domiciled in Assam.

The scheme is available to eligible girl students irrespective of their economic status.
Who Cannot Apply for Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Scheme 2026
• Married girls are generally not eligible, except students in the PG and B.Ed. categories.
• In-service girls admitted to B.Ed. on deputation are not eligible.
• Daughters of Ministers, MPs and MLAs are not eligible.
• Students who receive a scooter under the Bani Kanta Kakati Award are not eligible at the same time. However, a girl who opts out of receiving the scooter may apply for Nijut Moina.
• Students who discontinue their studies/drop out cannot continue receiving the benefit.
• Girl students studying in private colleges, universities or schools.

The assistance is paid through the DBT system directly to the eligible student's bank account. The guidelines also state that payments are not made during June and July and that no incentive is paid for vacations extending beyond one month.
