IOCL has released Nursing admission notification for admission into IOCL B.Sc (Nursing) Course at Assam Oil College of Nursing (AOCN) and General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM) at Assam Oil School of Nursing (AOSN) under IOCL (AOD), Digboi. Unmarried female candidates meeting the requisite eligibility criteria can apply online for this course at https://aocnadmission.in.

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Digboi Nursing Admission


Educational Qualification

• B.Sc (Nursing): Only female candidates who have participated in the SSUHS Common Entrance Exam 2023 will be eligible to submit their application.

• GNM Course:
a) 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
b) 10+ 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/ English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
c) 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board

Age Limit

Minimum 17 years and Maximum 24 years as on 31/12/2023 (Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/ PwBD candidates as per presidential directives). Certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation/Higher Secondary is the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is given below:

• SC/ ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• PwBD( SC/ ST): 15 years
• PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years

Gender: Only unmarried female candidates are eligible for these courses .


Selection Process of IOCL Nursing Admission 2023


• B.Sc (Nursing): Only female candidates are eligible for admission. Candidates shall have to apply online with Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2023) Roll No. and with total marks obtained in CEE-2022.

Only 30 (thirty) eligible candidates meeting desired parameters shall be called for document verification followed by medical examination. In case of tie (two or more) in total marks in the CEE written test result and weightage marks of Income certificate, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the factor to be considered (in that order only) to place a candidate’s rank in the merit list.

• GNM Course:
A) Selection would be based on Written Test (OMR based) of 120 minutes duration. Venue and time of the written test shall be mentioned in the Admit card for written test.

B) The candidate will have to pass successfully in the selection process (written test) i.e. candidate will have to acquire minimum 40% (relaxable by 5% for candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions) in selection process for being suitable for engagement for selection to the above course.

C) Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for document verification or the final selection, as the same is based on candidate’s rank in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, number of seats, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria and documents found in order upon verification etc.

D) Filling up of seats is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient in number
of candidates.

E) The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and cancellation of the selection process etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

F) Only those candidates who are declared fit in medical examination as per IOCL, Assam Oil Division criteria shall be considered for engagement.


IOCL Nursing Admission Stipend and Training Details


B. Sc (Nursing): The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,800/-; 2nd year – Rs.3,000/- ; 3rd year – Rs. 3,200/-; and for 4th year – Rs. 3,400/-

Additional benefits / opportunities for BSc (N) courses:

(1) Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for self at AOD Hospital and uniform will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.

(2) After passing out from respective courses, the candidates will be engaged compulsory for a period of 01 (one) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospital of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable by maximum 2 (two) years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD). The working interns shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 16,250/- per month at AOD Hospital and shall be paid an additional amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month if they are placed at other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, other than at AOD hospital. During the period while they are engaged as working interns, they shall not be provided with the accommodation facility

• GNM Course: The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,500/- ; 2nd year – Rs.2,700/- ; 3rd year – Rs. 2,900/-.

Additional benefits / opportunities for GNM courses:

(1) Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for self at AOD Hospital and uniform will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.

(2) After passing out from the course, the candidates will be engaged compulsory for a period of 1 (one) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospital of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable
by maximum 2 (two) years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD). The working interns shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 15,250/- per month for GNM at AOD Hospital and shall be paid an additional amount of Rs. 1,000/- permonth if they are placed at other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, other than at AOD hospital. During the period while they are engaged as working interns, they shall not be provided with the accommodation facility.

Required Documents to Upload:

Candidates are required to upload the scanned copy of the following documents:

1. 10th Pass/Matriculation certificate issued by the concerned education board as proof of date of birth
2. SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/ EWS-Income & Asset Certificate by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority.
3. Disability Certificate, if any in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority.
4. Class X & XII marksheet and certificate issued by the concerned board.
5. Conversion certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to percentage of marks, if applicable, from concerned board.
6. Income Certificate (FY 2022-23) (i.e issued on or after 01.04.2023) by Competent Authority.
7. Candidates seeking reservations under Digboi Legislative Constituency are required to produce Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)/ Voter Identity card of self or parent.
8. Any other Certificate, as specified.
