OIL India Recruitment Junior Assistant-I :

Oil India Limited (OIL) invites applications (by offline mode) from eligible candidates from its transportation areas in the following districts for the posts of Junior Assistant-I (Clerk cum Computer Operator) Grade-IV posts in  Oil India Limited (OIL) at Pipeline Dept. as per details given below.

Transportation areas/ districts:
Kamrup(M), Bongaingaon, Golaghat, Nalbari, Nagaon, Barpeta, Jorhat, Morigaon of Assam, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur of West Bangal, Pumea, Katihar, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Khagaria of Bihar.

OIL India Recruitment Clerk cum Computer Operator (Grade-IV) - Details :

Name of the Post & Grade: Junior Assistant-I (Clerk cum Computer Operator) Grade-IV

No. of Post: 19 [10-UR, 2-SC, 2-ST, 5-OBC(NCL), VH (LV), HH, OH (OA, OL, OAL, BL]

Scale of Pay: Rs.13,500-28,000/-

Essential Qualification, Experience, Skills etc :

a) Class 10+2 pass from Government recognized Board.

b) Shoul have min. of 6 months Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Application and should be fully conversant with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.

c) Proficiency in Computers with minimum typing speed of 30 words per minutes.

Age Limit (as on 26-10-2019) :

  • General : 18-30 years
  • SC/ST : 18-35 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) : 18-33 years
  • PwD/ Ex-Servicemen : As per Government Directives.

Selection Methodology :

a) Selection process shall consist of two stages:
  • Stage-I : Written Test
  • Stage-II : Computer Operator Skill Test (COST)
b) Candidates  has to secure minimum 50% marks in Written Test to qualify for COST. However, merely securing qualifying marks in Written Test shall not make Candidate(s) eligible to appear in COST.

c) Candidate(s) shall be shortlisted in the order of merit in the Written Test for the COST in the ratio of 1:2 (i.e for one vacancy, two candidate(s) will be shortlisted with due cognizance to no. of reserved posts).

Written Test Modalities : The marks in the written test will be 100. Duration of the test shall be of 2 hours. The type/ mode of question paper will be in a multiple choice question (MCQ) or descriptive format and the answer sheets will be of an OMR type. Part of syllabus as follows:
  • English language & General knowledge/ Awareness with some questions on Oil India Ltd. : 20 Marks
  • Reasoning/ Arithmetic/ Numerical & Mental Ability : 20 Marks
  • Domain or Relevant Technical Knowledge : 60 Marks
Computer Operation Skill Test (COST) Modalities : 
  • Working knowledge of the candidates in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint shall be assessed in the computer such as creating a file, Excel Sheet functions, PowerPoint presentation preparation etc.
  • The qualifying marks in COST will be 50%

How To Apply:

a) The application form should be neatly typed and filled up by candidates as per the format and instruction given in the advertisement.

b) Candidates must submit 01 copy of recent 3cm x 3cm coloured photograph and self-attested photocopies (signature & date) of the following documents:
  • Admit Card/Pass Certificate of Class 10th indicating Date of Birth
  • Marksheets of all the years/ semesters and Pass Certificate of Graduation
  • Valid SC/ST/OBC Caste Certificate
  • Disability Certificate
  • Service and Release Certificate/ Discharge Book (in case of Ex-Servicemen)
  • Employment Exchange Identity Card or Z.S.W.O. Registration Card
  • Valid 'No Objection Certificate' from the concerned authority issued, if the candidate is employed in Govt./ Semi-Govt./ PSU.
  • Valid Govt. Photo Identity Card/ PAN Card

d) Last date of receiving application (crucial date/ cut off) is 26/10/2019 (till close of working hours)
