Last Date: Irrigation Department, Assam invites online applications from the intending and eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant posts under the establishment of Chief engineer and various District level offices of Irrigation Department.
Irrigation Department Assam recruitment 2019 - Post wise Details:
1. Subordinate Engineer, Grade-I (Civil)
No. of Post: 21Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500, GP-Rs.6,800
Qualification: Certificate of Draughtsmanship in Civil or passed the two years course of 3 years Diploma Course in Civil from a Recognized Polytechnic/ Engineering institution.
2. Subordinate Engineer, Grade-I (Mechanical)
No. of Post: 01Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500, GP-Rs.6,800
Qualification: Certificate of Draughtsmanship in Mechanical or passed the two years course of 3 years Diploma Course in Mechanical from a recognized Polytechnic/ Engineering institution.
3. Junior Assistant (HOD Level)
No. of Post: 23Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500, GP-Rs.6,200
Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt. Moreover, the candidate must possess knowledge of computer as specified below:
(A) Candidate must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent) of any operating system i.e. MS Windows Linux Mac etc. such as,
(a) Word processor
(b) Spreadsheet,
(c) Presentation graphics
(c) Concept of Database,
(e) Intemet,
(f) e-mail

(B) Candidate must possess a minimum 6 (Six) months Diploma in Computer application/ Knowledge from an Institute recognized by the Govt.

Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt. Moreover, the candidate must possess knowledge of computer as specified below:

Qualification: H.S.S.L.C or equivalent (10+2 Examination) passed from any recognized Board/ Council. (As per draft service Rule Submitted to the Government).
6. Power Pump Operator
No. of Post: 41Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500, GP-Rs.5,000
Qualification: H.S.L.C or equivalent Examination from any recognized Board/ Council with ITI Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical or passed H.S.L.C or equivalent examination with minimum 8 years experience as Helper.
7. Primary Investigator
No. of Post: 01Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500, GP-Rs.6,200
Qualification: H.S.S.L.C or equivalent (10+2 Examination) passed from any recognized Board/ Council in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject.
AGE LIMIT(as on 01-01-2020):
Not below 18 (Eighteen) years and above 38 (Thirty-Eight) years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is, however, relaxable by 5 (five) Years in case of SC/ST, and by 3 (Three) years in case of OBC as per Govt Rules.
Irrigation Department Assam recruitment 2019 - ADMIT CARD:
After Scrutiny of applications, the Admit cards will be generated online for the candidates found eligible and they will be intimated through SMS/Mail to download their Admit cards. The candidates whose applications are rejected for any reason may see the reasons for rejection in the same link.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
OMR based written examination will be held for all category of posts at specified locations to be decided in due course of time. Where ever applicable, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/ Skill test the date and venue of which will be notified later on.
The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (As applicable). There will not be any Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
The candidates are to apply online in the link which would be given below from 10:00 Hrs of 20th December 2019. The deadline of Application Submission is 23:59 hours of 08th January 2020. 11th January 2020.
[Updated on 08/01/2020 - Last Date Extended] - With reference to Employment Notice published in dailies on 18.12.2019 vide Janasanyog/D/7890/ 19 and subsequent corrigendum published on 25.12.2019 vide Janasanyog/D/8265/19 and on 27.12.2019 vide Janasanyog/C/8098/19 respectively for filling up of vacant Grade-III post under the establishment of Chief Engineer and various District level offices of Irrigation offices the date of submission of online application is hereby extended up to 23:59 hours of 11th January, 2020.
DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED:
- For age proof, HSLC Certificate/Admit Card issued by recognized Board/Council.
- The Voter ID Card of the Candidate or either of his/her Parents as proof of Permanent residence.
- Certificate of qualifying examination as per applicable case.
- Recent Passport Size Photograph.
- Scanned Copy of Signature of the Candidate.
- Caste Certificate from competent authority if applying for such category.
