AHSEC Cancels HS 1st Year Exam 2020 due to COVID-19: Students to be Promoted to Class 12

AHSEC Cancels HS 1st Year Exam 2020 due to COVID-19:

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) released notification to cancel Higher Secondary (HS) First (1st) year exam due to the outbreak of COVID-19 all over the world. As per the notice, it has been decided to promote all students to Class 12. The exams were earlier scheduled from March 25 to April 10.

As per the official notification of AHSEC:

"It is notified for information of all concerned that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council has decided to promote the students of the Higher Secondary First Year Class of the academic session 2019-2020 (who had filled up online forms) to the Higher Secondary Second Year Class of the academic session 2020-2021 as a very special case for this year. The Higher Secondary First Year Examination-2020 to be held on and from the 25th of March, 2020 to the 10th of April, 2020 could not be held due to outbreak of COVID-19 all over the world."
