Assam HS First Year Admission 2026 - Check HS 1st Year Merit List

Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II has started the Online Admission/ Registration Process/ Form Fill up for HS First Year Admission 2026. An online web portal called “Darpan” has beeen launched for HS 1st Year Admission. The online Admission process started on 12th April 2026. Students who have passed HSLC exam this year may apply online for HS first-year courses under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for the academic session 2026-2027.

 

In pursuance of declaration of HSLC Compartmental Examination Result 2026 by ASSEB, DIV-1 (Erstwhile SEBA) this is notified to all the concerned that the online admission portal "DARPAN" will be re-opened for submission of applications for Admission into HS 1st Year Class for session 2026-27, from 24th June, 2026 to 04th ,July, 2026.

This year, Assam HS first year Admission will be completed through "Darpan", the common portal for online HS admission, to be available on AHSEC’s official website http://www.ahsec.assam.gov.in .

Assam HS First Year Admission Merit List 2026

The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2026 Merit List will be available on the DARPAN official website. The merit list will be published by the concerned institutions. Students will have to select the school or college of their choice by visiting Darpan portal . 

Apply Process for Assam HS First Year Admission 2026

Students who passed HSLC 2026 exam and want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II must apply online.

➢ Click on HS First-Year Admission link.

➢ A portal will load, Login using your HSLC Roll No. and Date of Birth (as per Admit Card).

➢ After that, you need to choose the college, course type and other details you want.

➢ Upload scan copy of photograph, signature and other necessary documents.

➢ After filling and verifying all the details, you have to click on submit button.

➢ After submitting the application, keep the system generated acknowledgment for future use.

Required Documents to Complete Application

Students must keep the following listed documents ready in JPG, JPEG or PNG file format before proceeding for the online application. Also, the size of the file should be maximum 1 MB.

• Recent Passport Size Photograph.

• 10th Marksheet (Digital).

AHSEC 2nd Year Routine 2021: Cancelled HS Final Exam

AHSEC HS Final Exam Cancelled updated on 18-06-2021:

As per the Decision of Govt. of Assam, AHSEC has cancelled the Higher Secondary Final Examination, 2021 due to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The decision has been announced by education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu after a crucial meeting with several organisations of the state.

“I would like to inform you all HS and HSLC exams of 2021 will not be held due to COVID-19,” Pegu said.

The education department will constitute committees to formulate the marking system. The results will be declared by July 31.

AHSEC Online Form Fill Up 2020: AHSEC has going to start the process of AHSEC Online Form Fill Up for HS 2nd year (Final Year) Exam 2021 of Arts, Commerce and Science stream. Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has released a notification in this regard.

AHSEC 2nd Year (Final Year) Online Form 2020:

AHSEC has released an official notification and informs that the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examination 2021 is proposed to be held from the last week of February 2021. AHSEC further stated that the process of online form fill-up for all categories of examinees such as Regular, Betterment Chance, Reappearance Scheme, Certain Subject and other NIP candidates etc, will be started from the 1st of November, 2020 to 30th of November, 2020.

 

The hard copies of the statements, fees payment challans etc. must be submitted to the Council by the institutions concerned latest by 15th of December, 2020 positively.

All the heads of the institution are requested to notify their eligible examinees in this regard so that no one is left out from the process of online form fill up during the fixed period. Detailed guidelines are awaited.

AHSEC New Syllabus 2020: AHSEC released HS First and Second year (1st/ 2nd Year) syllabus of Arts, Science & Commerce streams which is reduced by 30% for the year 2020-2021 AHSEC has reduced syllabi due to Pandemic Covid-19. AHSEC New Syllabus 2020 - 20121 Details:

Class: Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year and 2nd Year

Name of Board: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)

Academic Session: 2020-21

The main objective is to reduce the exam stress of the students of the session 2020-21, due to this pandemic situation and to prevent learning gaps.

The Academic Committee of AHSEC in its meeting held on 19/08/2020 had decided to reduce the 30% volume of the course contents of H.S. First & Second year to be made judiciously to remain acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the subject. It is also decided that the skill based subjects, including Music which carries 30 marks in theory must not be reduced. The subject ‘Environmental Education/ is also not reduced as it carries 50 marks only.

This syllabi is only the reduced portion for the preparaiton of upcoming final exams of HS 1st and 2nd year to be held in 2021.

Important Information for Candidates/ Head of the Institutions:

Under no circumstances, the Application requesting thereafter for the mentioned matters will not be entertained.

2. If any mistake is found in the Mark-sheet/Certificate/Admit Card, it should be brought to the notice of the Co-ordinator within 1 (one) month from the date of declaration of results. No complaint will be entertained after 1 (one) month of declaration of results.

Re-Checking of Answer scripts:

Re-checking will consist of-

Candidates desiring Re-checking of answer scripts should submit applications in the prescribed format through the Head(s) of the Institution(s) with the requisite fee of Rs.300/- per subject (maximum of 3 subjects) within 30 days from the declaration of results. Prescribed application form for RE-checking is enclosed in the Result sheet. 

Application forms duly forwarded by the Head(s) of the Institution(s) with the requisite fees may be sent / submitted directly at the SOS cell of the Council within the stipulated time. Payment should be made in Demand draft in favour of Secretary, Open Schooling, AHSEC payable at Guwahati.
