Selection Process:

• For all categories of posts, candidates are required to appear OMR based Written Exam which will be held at specified locations to be decided in due course of time. 
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/ Skill test (wherever applicable),  the date and venue of which will be notified later on. 
• Selection process of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (as applicable). 
• There will not be any Interview or Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.

Syllabus for Junior Assistant (HoD Level and District Level):

General English	75 Questions
General Knowledge and Intelligence with Special emphasis on Assam	50 Questions
Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude	25 Questions
Knowledge of Computer (Theory)	50 Questions
Language skills in Assamese/ Bengali /Bodo /Alternative English	50 Questions
Total Marks for Written Test	250 Marks
Computer Proficiency Test(Practical)	50 Marks
Grand Total Marks	300 marks

• Final selection will be on the basis of combined tests i.e. written examination and Computer Test.
• Type of Written Examination: (Objective type multiple choice)
• Duration of Written Exam: 2 hours 30 minutes
• Candidates will have to attend 250 objective type questions in the written test.
• Against every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
• Candidates equal to 4 times the number of vacancies (1:4), in order of merit in written examination, will be called for Computer Proficiency Test and checking of original testimonials.

Syllabus for Section Assistant:

General English	30 Questions
General Knowledge and Intelligence with Special emphasis on Assam	20 Questions
Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude	50 Questions
Total Marks for Written Test	100

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Written Test and on Verification of original documents.
• Type of Written Examination: (Objective type multiple choice)
• Candidates will have to appear 100 objective type questions in the written test.
• Duration of Written Exam: 2 hours
• Against every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.

Syllabus for Subordinate Engineer-I (Civil/ Mechanical):

General English	30 Questions
General Knowledge and Intelligence with Special emphasis on Assam	20 Questions
Engineering Aptitude	50 Questions
Total Marks for Written Test	100

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Written Test and on Verification of original documents.
• Type of Written Examination: (Objective type multiple choice)
• Candidates will have to appear 100 objective type questions in the written test.
• Duration of Written Exam: 2 hours
• Against every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.

Syllabus for Power Pump Operator:

General English	10 Questions
General Knowledge and Intelligence with Special emphasis on Assam	20 Questions
Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude	20 Questions
Technical Matter	25 Questions
Total Marks for Written Test	75

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Written Test and on Verification of original documents.
• Type of Written Examination: (Objective type multiple choice)
• Candidates will have to appear 75 objective type questions in the written test.
• Duration of Written Exam: 2 hours
• Against every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
• The candidates equal the number of vacancies in order of merit in the written examination, will be called for verification of original testimonials.
